I'd just checked out another EGT game "Flaming Dice" that I had quite enjoyed playing when I spotted this, another dice themed game from the same company. Once the game loaded I was a little confused as it looked pretty much the same - less lines and a smaller play field but as far as I could tell this was pretty much the same game repackaged which seemed a little cheap especially considering the basic symbols and overall design of both games.
There are still four progressive jackpots which appear to be linked between both games however the rest of the payouts are markedly higher in this game as you would expect from a slot with just five lines. The top symbol is now the "7" dice which has a maximum payoff of 1000x your stake for a five of a kind however the stacked wilds have been removed from the reels so wins are much less frequent and you cannot hope to win more than a single line of these symbols now as it happens to be the one symbol the designers have decided not to stack on the reels. You can still get a full screen of many of the lower symbols (I assume, the symbols are there on the reels at least...) but that's not quite as exciting with just 100x stake on offer for the higher die sides.
Strangely the scatter symbols actually pay out LOWER than in "Flaming Dice", why that is I'm unsure but once again there is no bonus game or free spins awarded for catching three or more of these and with the loss of the stacked wilds I found this game much less interesting and fun to play on the whole.
I hope that EGT will use a little more originality in future - dice just about work for a single slot, but two is just getting greedy with those cheap and basic assets!
