4 Fantastic Fish slot features 6 reels and up to 4096 pay lines inspired by water, or rather say the underwater world, and is a partner project between Yggdrasil Gaming and 4ThePlayer providers. This is one of those fun adventures that will take you out to sea where you can go after the big catches. It may take some time for the fish to start nibbling, but if you enjoy tranquillity then the best fishing spot in town is here where you can fish for fun or at any 4ThePlayer Casino to do it for real.

Slot Features
Fishing ship is the Wild symbol in the game that can substitute for every symbol in the game to help you form winning combos, except the Scatters.
Big Fish
If you land 3 or more Fish symbols on any reel from left to right, you can win cash prizes whereas the lowest prizes are on reel 1, and as you move more towards reel 6, the prize ranges increase. Prizes range between x0.1 on reel 1 to x50 on reel 6.
There are 4 big game fish that can land on reel 6, and they are Big Blue Fish which awards x100 the bet, Super Green Swordfish which awards x500 the bet, Mega Red Shark which awards x2000 the bet and the Ultra Orange Sailfish which will award x10000 the bet.
Respin Bonus
Blue Marlin is the Respin Scatter, and you will need 3 of them to start the Respin Bonus. Once triggered, the reels that contained a triggering Scatter will be active in the bonus feature, while the others will be locked. However, if you land a marlin Scatter on the locked reel, it will unlock it.
Additionally, there is a chance that a giant Squid will appear to move the fish symbol around, and move the fish symbols from locked to unlocked reels. When you fill the reel with fish symbols, a shark will swim up to eat them, and prizes eaten by the shark will get multiplied by x2 before being awarded.
Summary
4 Fantastic Fish falls in the no shortage of theme bucket, but, still looks oddly satisfying and fun at the same time. Some features we’ve seen before, but some are new and help push this slot in the front rows. It’s highly volatile slot with x15000 the bet as the max exposure cap.
4ThePlayer has made several good slots, often introducing some innovative game mechanics, like "10x Rewind", "6 Great Sharks" or "90K Yeti" to name a few. But I'm sorry to say, "4 Fantastic Fish" is not one of them.
In fact, the only fantastic thing about this slot is the name. Whoever programmed this, really likes to piss off people: One-off misses and 2 scatter teases on almost every spin, which is really annoying to sit through, in my opinion at least.
Add to this a base game, that runs at approx. 40% RTP, as actual wins and random features are few and rather underwhelming, when they finally occur. My best win in around 500 spins was a 24x base game hit, which strikes me as quite disappointing for a 4096 ways slot with 15,000x potential.
The only way to win big on "4 Fantastic Fish" seems to be the bonus feature, which can pay big, if you land some of those forementioned fantastic fish, the best being the 10,000x marlin. I didn't land this bonus in 500 spins though, only got those perpetual 2 scatter teases again and again and again and again.
Actually, this slot reminds me a lot of another stinker in terms of gameplay - the much hated "Hotel Yeti-Way" by Play 'n Go. Not a game you want to be compared to, if you ask me. I'd say avoid at all cost, there are better slots out there, even by the same provider.
I'm not really a fishing slot fan to begin with, and apart from the 15,000x potential and pretty colourful graphics, there's not much to like here imho. Poor base game, meager win frequency and far too many one-off teases and scatter dives on this one.
