2 Million B.C. from BetSoft is not a new game, but the graphics can still beat most other current games. Yes, BetSoft is well known for its outstanding 3D graphics rendition and were probably the pioneers to using 3D for games. Hence, one can only admire and appreciate the beautiful graphics in BetSoft 3D games, and there are quite a number of them by now. This 2 Million B.C. is one of the earliest 3D game to be released some years ago.

The game plays with 30 paylines, with a minimum starting bet of $0.30 per spin. Fair enough. Strangely enough, there isn't any Wild symbol in the game! Why, I just cannot figure out, but a lot of winning combinations and chances are gone for good. Doesn't sound good at all, does it? The Campfire is the Scatter symbol, a dumb symbol that doesn't pay anything for itself, but getting 3 or more of them trigger 4 free spins which can be retriggered. Only 4 free spins? Argh! The Diamond is the Bonus symbol, paying 200x the line bet for getting 5 of them, and getting 3 or more of them on any active payline triggers the Diamond Bonus game. The Acorn is also another Bonus symbol, but doesn't pay anything for itself, and each appearing Acorn on the reels will remove 1 Acorn from the 3 in the counter. No Acorn left triggers the Saber Attacks feature game, with options for Sneak, Entertain or Attack, but more of this a little later on. As for the other symbols, the Cavewoman pays 500x, the Sabertooth pays 400x, the Ant pays 300x, the Stonehenge pays 250x, the Stonewheel pays 200x, the Stoneclub pays 150x, and the rest pay from 125x to 50x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. A very low paytable I must say.

From the 2 Bonus games available, the Diamond or the Saber Attacks, the Diamond Bonus game is the best and most entertaining. 3 options are available to choose from - Sneak, Entertain or Attack. The Sneak option gets the Caveman slowly and quietly sneaking up on the dozing Sabertooth, only to get it awake when the Diamond is snatched away. The Entertain option gets the Caveman singing on a stage, making the Sabertooth bursting into laughter and dropping the Diamond, which the Caveman then swiftly snatching it away. I did not try the Attack option as it seems so ridiculous to attack a Sabertooth! Perhaps it is similar to the other Bonus game, the Saber Attacks, whereby the Caveman attacks the Sabertooth to win a cash prize. The craziest Bonus games I have ever come across, I must admit, but lots of fun watching them, hahaha.

For a very entertaining game, 2 Million B.C. was really fun to play, especially on the very first play on it, not knowing what to expect from any of the Bonus games. But fun aside, the payouts sucks! Sheesh! Wish the payouts could have been much better and bigger, and not paying about 10x the total bet amount most of the time. Even the Free Spins game of 4 free spins couldn't do any better, with or without retriggers. Still around the 10x bet wins, plus or minus a little bit. Totally disappointing payouts from this game, otherwise, this could be a good hit for BetSoft.

2 Million B. C. is a very typical looking BetSoft slot where we can see very great graphics with nice symbols but a little bit overcrowded screen. Perhaps it’s just me but always felt that a slightly less colours and pictorial elements would be more powerless at BetSoft games and that’s the situation here where I think a limited jungle portrait would’ve been better and I guess choosing another background colour of the reel area would made the symbols more captivating.

As we get used to the main function buttons also got little illustrations that fit to the theme, here, they’re graved on rocks which is great to the prehistoric theme what the game wants to symbolize. It’s also a very characteristic attribute that a person character can be seen all the time on the screen which I always liked because most of them are make some funny moves and humorous animations and it does real good to overall high spirit while playing. To summarize, I appreciate the interface of the game and despite for some reasons this kind of illustration style couldn’t really catch my attention but otherwise it’s a really decent graphical work and I easily can imagine that lot of people love it very much.

The slot offers 30-paylines to bet on with setting coin value from $0.02-$1 while we can use 1-5 coins as bets and I think this is the last thing what I can consider here as a typical and normal attribute because all others are quite poor and those ones that I can’t love. The best paying winning formula gives us back only 500 times of line bet which needless to say how weak is and the fact the game isn’t working in cooperation with any single Wild tells a lot about the winning tendency and the rewarding ability of the game during normal game mode.

Saber Attacks bonus is starting after collecting 3 acorns (which not necessarily appears in just one spin but we can store the already gained symbols until the third one becomes visible on the reels) then the our hero climb to the top of the reels and throw acorns on saber-tooth tiger and instant cash prize is revealed while the other extra comes alive after getting 3 Diamonds symbols on an active payline and then we have to help the Caveman to choose a proper way to steal the diamond from the tiger.

My serious problem with these bonuses and basically the entire game is they have terrible rewarding abilities and it isn’t correlated with how much was the stake or any other thing because I tried several different ways to get better results but they always were the same. I really don’t know how BetSoft could release this slot with so questionable qualities and personally I would never return to this slot again to win any remarkable amount here because the game simple isn’t able to give it to me but on the other hand this is one of the most entertaining and funniest games I’ve ever played. It can be felt in every animation and every bonus that this slot really has the ability to create a very joyful atmosphere and make me smile at any moment. For example the at the Diamond bonus when I choose the ‘amuse’ option for Caveman to steal the diamond, a stage appear and the Caveman grab a microphone and tells jokes to tiger while it is just lying on the floor with laughter and that’s really one of the most hilarious moment of the game. Honestly, I still don’t know whether I should love or hate this game because there are two very different attributes here which could explain why I should return frequently or should forget this game forever and if money wasn’t involved in this whole thing in any way this would be one of my favourite slots but we all know eventually what this whole gambling thing is about and what is the main purpose to play with gambling products so I think it’s better if someone tries this game and then she/he can decide what is the number one priority individually.

2 Million BC is a slot from the ancient times when people still fought hard for their survival but for sure they never lose their humor. Who knows, perhaps the desire of risk was as high in those days as today and this slot “teleported” over times would have been appreciated for sure by those people. What the creators of the slot omitted here (probably knowingly) is that 2 million years ago the first type of people just appeared (Homo Habilis) and that Homo Sapiens is just 200.000 years old (the man to the right of the reels who claps and eats steaks over steaks is certainly a Homo Sapiens after appearance).

Going over all this, at the risk of being long and seem misogynistic I will tell you a story from my youth. My next review will be for 2 Million B.C slot game from Betsoft software.It is a funny little 30 lines slot game with very interesting theme and graphics.This slot takes you back in past for 2 million years when humans lived in caves and hunted animals for food.The main character is caveman and his girlfriend cave woman.There is also a bee that collects acorns and a saber tooth against which caveman fights in saber attacks feature.

The feature is triggered when you collect three acorns,caveman climbs on top of the slot and takes acorn and you need to click anywhere to hit saber-tooth that walks beneath caveman.When you hit him you get a random number of credits.I got this feature plenty times but it is not very profitable just fun and nice for an eye.

The free spins are also easily triggered but they are not very profitable just like saber attack feature.They are triggered when you get 3 or more camp fire symbols. For three you get only 4 free spins but you can re-trigger them. Don't expect much from free spins i had collected 16 free spins on one occasion and won maybe around x5 my bet.The last diamond feature was most profitable for me on this slot. You get 3 diamonds in a pay line and then feature is triggered and you need to help caveman to steal diamond from saber-tooth.You have 3 options to choose from how you do it sneak,entertain and attack.
