Gala Casino - Winnings voided without valid reason

So, I used to be a member of Gala Casino but didn't think much of their bonus offers and left in the middle of last year. I spoke to live help and asked that they close my account, which they did.
So recently I was thinking and decided to go with them again (I though I knew that they were trustworthy for payouts having had one or two big ones from them last year.)
I rejoined and deposited £20 (without bonus) and proceeded to win and withdraw £280 by paypal.
I emailed them to make sure everything was ok and was told that my query was going to the 'Responsible Gambling Team' due to a duplicate account and that they would contact me shortly.
The problem is is that I never self excluded???
I waited for them to contact me but got nothing. I sent 5 emails and either got no response if emails saying I never requested a withdrawal.
Then I noticed a paypal transaction of £20 from Gala going into my account.
As for the other £260 I can't see that I'm going to get it. It's quite disgusting really.
