Samba Carnival Slot

Play'n GO

Samba Carnival is a video slot powered by Play’n GO software with 15 pay-lines and 5 reels. This colorful and exciting slot is inspired with rhythm and passion of Copacabana carnival. Samba sounds are playing in the background and you will get the feeling as if you are there. Graphics is great, and the reels are set against the dark night sky filled with fireworks. Give this slot a spin here for free or visit Play’n GO Casinos to play for real money.

Before you start dancing samba, you are advised to adjust your bets. By clicking on "Coin Value" you will set your coins size which ranges from 0.01 to 0.25. "Coins" will set the number of coins per line, and "Lines" will help you set the number of lines you wish to bet. "Spin" button is used to set the reels in motion, and "Auto Play" option will turn the reels automatically without interruption for a chosen number of times. "Bet Max" will set the maximum bet and turn the reels at that bet. "Gamble" will start Gamble feature.

Maracas are the Wild symbol and they come with x2, x3, x4 or x5 multiplier. The Wild substitutes for all symbols except for the bonus, and they multiply the wins when substituting. How high the multiplier will be, depends on the Wild multiplier.

Bongo Drums is the Bonus symbol, and if you hit three of them you will trigger the bonus round. Bonus feature is essentially a mini-picking game where you will have to pick one of the triggering drums to reveal your prize. You can win up to x150 your winning amount.

After each win you can choose to double or quadruple up your wins. If you choose to double you will have to guess the color of the card next to be drawn, or if you choose to quadruple them you will have to guess the suit of the card next to be drawn. If you make a wrong guess the round will end, and you will lose everything.

Looking at the lively Samba Dancers and the lively festivity atmosphere, I would never have guessed that Play'nGo could release a cloned game! This became more evident with the release of their new game 'Holiday Season', a direct clone of 'Pimped', where the paytables remain identical, but the maximum possible win has been halved. Is Play'nGo following Microgaming's traits? In the cloning of their games, and in the low paytables too? I would hate it if this is the case. Then I have to dislike Play'nGo too, as much as I have disliked Microgaming since years ago!

Samba Carnival, for those who do not know yet, is probably the first direct cloned game from Play'nGo. The original game is none other than Lady of Fortune, or vice versa, depending on which game came out first! The 2 paytables are identical, no changes in any of the symbol values, no changes in the game features, except for new iconic symbols to reflect the game's title. Gees! I only found this out when I started playing Samba Carnival for the very first time recently. When I looked into its paytable, everything came back to me instantly, and I could recognise the Lady of Fortune becoming Samba Dancers instead.

In this Samba Carnival game, the Caracas is the Wild symbol, randomly multiplying any wins with it by 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. It substitutes for other symbols except the Bonus symbol, but it doesn't pay anything for itself, and neither does it become stacked or expanded, making it a dumb Wild symbol nonetheless. There aren't any Scatter symbols because there aren't any Free Spins game. Argh! The Samba Drums is the Bonus symbol, appearing only on reels 1, 3 and 5, and getting all 3 of them trigger a Bonus game. Nothing nice or fun, just a simple Pick-and-Win game to win up to 150x the total bet amount. Pick 1 of the Samba Drums to find out what you have won. Don't be surprised if it's nothing big though. My picks came out 20x and 8x my bet amount. Disappointing, to say the least.

As for the other symbols in the game, the Purple Dancer pays 2500x, the Blue Dancer pays 1000x, the Green Dancer pays 500x, and all the others pay from 250x to 75x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind. Any combination of 3 or more same symbols on a payline is a win, the same way as in the game Lady of Fortune. The paytable is very low, there are only 15 paylines, so there cannot be any good big wins from this game, but you can expect lots of small almost-useless wins though, and also getting extended play time most of the time. If you like this sort of game play, then you may like Samba Carnival. For me, it's yet another disappointing game from Play'nGo.

Direct cloning of one game is one thing, but not improving on it is simply not acceptable. I disliked Lady of Fortune game, for all its poor offerings, and Samba Carnival is no different at all. Maybe Play'nGo should stop following Microgaming's trend of direct cloning!

There's been a huge rush of Samba and Brazilian themed games this year what with the olympics being held over there and all, you can't really blame the slot developers for jumping on this bandwagon but I have to say I've just about had enough of this theme at this point. That said, this is one of the prettier efforts of the bunch and the play mechanics are quite unique for a Play N Go slot too!

Other than a bunch of older IGT games I haven't really seen many slots that use the "adjacent symbols" payout scheme - this means that as well as paying both left to right and right to left you can also win a three of a kind prize from scoring three symbols on the centremost three reels on any active payline as well. Despite this the paytable doesn't look out of the ordinary to me with a top five of a kind win of 166x your stake and it's only the lower paying fruit synmbols that look to pay out poorly which is nothing new in slots, and when the lowest paying symbol still pays 5x your stake for a five of a kind I really don't think your getting a bad deal from this game overall.

There are four different wild symbols on the reels although they dont seem to appear that frequently which makes me wonder if either the reel strips are unbelievably long or if a different wild multiplier is chosen for each reel at the beginning of each spin. Bearing in mind that most slots have only one wild per reel strip I'm pretty much certain it has to be one of the above options as it definitely doesn't feel like wilds drop four times as often when playing this game. The maximum wild multiplier is 5x and it's possible to get several on a payline at once too which really helps to increase both the maximum win value and as a result the excitement of playing this game.

The bonus game has a maximum payout of just 150x your stake and there's no free spins mode, so it's debatable whether it is the base game or the bonus you are playing for in this slot. The bonus symbols don't seem to drop in too often though meaning they don't block too many other combinations. I do prefer a few more bells and whistles personally and this game could definitely have used a couple of extra features so I don't think I'll be returning to it anytime soon - it's pretty average all things considered.

Samba Carnival is a very festive game from Play N` Go. Unlike many other games, in this game all the action is in the base game. This does not happen very often. There are wild symbols with different multipliers which help in creating very rewarding winning combinations. The highest amount that I have won during this slot thanks to the wilds is 300 x bet.

Samba Carnival is a 5 reels and 15 pay lines video slot game. This game is based on the very popular carnival in Rio. The purple feathered dancer is the highest paying symbol in this game. I have never got 5 on an active pay line, but I have got 4 on many occasions and a win of 250 coins should not be underestimated. The last time I played this game, I do not have to say that I play this game very often; I had a really good session. I managed to land 5 green feather girls on an active pay line in my second or third spin and I won 500 coins for that. It was a really good start, good for my balance and good for my ego too.

There is only one bonus feature in the Samba Carnival video slot game and it is called the Bongo Bonus. To activate this feature you need 3 drum symbols and you have to pick one set of drums to win a cash prize. It is possible to win 150 x bet in this feature, but for some reason I enjoy more the base game. Maybe because I have never won anything more than 10 x bet in this bonus round so it is more of like a distraction to me.

Samba Carnival is an amazing slot. I have played it many times and I was always satisfied with the outcome so I would recommend this game to everyone.
