Halloween Jack Slot NetEnt

Halloween Jack Slot is 5 reels and 20 paylines video slot powered by the NetEnt software. The game tells the story of a young girl who has discovered a cursed jewellery box that forces her to do unspeakable things. She unleashes a great evil when trying to get rid of the box and there are some great features which come into play including the games Walking Wild. If you dare to spin the reels you can play it here for free, or at any NetEnt Casino to spin for real.

How to Play the Halloween Jack Slot

If you think you’re brave enough to give this game a shot, you need to learn how to place your bets:

  • Coin denominations can be set by clicking the Coin Value +/- section. Whereas the Level +/- section will let you set the number of coins per line. Once you’ve decided on both this will form your total bet per spin
  • If you click Max Bet the game will spin at the maximum bet available
  • Hit the spin button and this will set your reels in motion
  • You can also use the Auto play option if you get tired of spinning the reels manually. Choose the amount of auto spins you want, and the game will automatically play them for you

Slot Features

NetEnt have included a number of terrifying features to keep you spooked on every spin. You can enjoy features that include Respins Jack-o-lantern Walking Wild, Free Spins, the Stacked Hell Hound Wild and the Expanding Death Reaper Wild.

Respins Jack-o-Lantern Walking Wild

The Wild symbol is the Halloween pumpkin and this substitutes for all symbols except the scatter symbol and the lantern symbol. It appears in the base game on all the reels except reel one and any winning combination made with the Wild will add a x3 multiplier for you.

This is also when you trigger the Jack-o-Lantern Walking Wild. When a Halloween Pumpkin appears on your reels the feature is triggered, and you’ll be reward with a free respin. The Wilds move one reel to the left giving the effect of the ‘Walking Wild’. You’ll keep getting respins until the walking wilds no longer appears on your reels and your total win will be tallied up. The great news is this can be triggered in both the base game and during free spins feature.

Free Spins

To trigger the free spins, you need to land three or more treasure chests scatters anywhere on your reels and you’ll be rewarded with 10 free spins. You can also retrigger 5 more free spins if you land more scatters during the feature.

The Walking Wild feature can also be triggered during free spins and with that x3 multiplier kicking in this can really increase your chances of scoring some big wins.

As an added extra you can also trigger a Jack-o-Lector feature during free spins. If the Lantern symbol appears on reel 5 during free spins, you’ll get access to three wild extras!

Stacked Hell Hound Wild

If you collect 3 lanterns the next wild you get will turn into a 2-high Stacked Hell Hound Wild and will trigger the Walking Wild.

Stacked Jack-o-Lantern Wild

Collect 6 lanterns and the next wild will be a 3-high Stacked Jack-o-Lantern Wild also triggering the Walking Wild feature.

Expanding Death Reaper Wild

This is the feature that can really land you some serious cash. Collect 9 lanterns and the next wild will be an Expanding Death Reaper Wild. You’ll get a wild reel that will shift one reel at a time for each free spin you have left.

It’s a high variance game delving into your scariest nightmares. Halloween themed and certainly not for those who scare easily, the Halloween Jack Slot is jam packed with treats and tricks to keep you on the edge of your seat and has the maximum potential to pay up to 6000x your total stake.

The x3 multiplier alongside the Walking Wild is a great addition to the game and this is where you’ll really start to see the big wins comein. The way you collect lanterns during free spins is very similar to NetEnt’s Jack and the Beanstalk Slot which also has the Walking Wild feature too.

Visually the game looks great and there’s some harrowing soundtracks in there too but whether you frighten easy or not it’s worth trying the game out.

Halloween Jack is a 5 reel and 20 payline slot that was released less than 2 years ago. I was interested in the game as it was back at the time when Netent was releasing more or less exciting games and I am a fan of Halloween theme when it's done well. And I have to say I quite enjoy this slot.

To be fair, the game technically is exactly the same as one of Netent's most popular slots- Jack and the Beanstalk- everything from the base game to bonus feature is the same. However, it's not a bad thing as I do enjoy Jack and the Beanstalk. The slot has a wild symbol and 3 treasure chests trigger 10 free spins. Whenever a wild symbol lands, it will give a respin and move left on the screen until there's no wild on the screen. I do enjoy it quite a bit as due to these wilds it's possible to get nice, small wins, which is great for lowrolling.

I really enjoy the bonus round for this game as it has good potential if you're lucky. When you trigger the bonus, you get 10 free spins. For each 3 keys that you collect (bear in mind they can only land on reel 5) you unlock new wild symbol. In order to do that, you definitely want to see wild symbol re-spins in the free spins rounds as then there's a bigger chance to collect those keys. I've managed to unlock the last wild level a few times and then, when a wild lands, it expands through the entire reel. However, unlocking the wild doesn't necessarily mean big wins. Several times I've managed to unlock the wild reel wild, however, not landing the actual wild in the remaining spins. I wish they would award extra free spins when you unlock a wild as it can be difficult.

All in all, this is a nice game to have fun with. The design is beautiful and I like the fact that you kind of have a goal in mind to unlock all the wilds as it gives you a feeling of a challenge. My best win on this game was a while ago when I had several wild reels and it paid roughly 300x bet. I'd say that an average bonus round pays in range of 30x-50x bet which I enjoy being a low-roller. This is a game I would recommend to try- to get a win over 1000x bet would be very difficult but decent wins are possible.

From a fairytale Jack now becoming a nightmarish Jack, for better or for worse, hehehe. For those who have played Jack And The Beanstalk game, then playing this Halloween Jack should feel exactly the same, but honestly speaking, in reality, as far as I have played and observed it, they don't really play the same! But more of this as we go on.

This is a sequel to NetEnt's big hit, Jack And The Beanstalk, nicely presented as expected, typically of most NetEnt games, so no complaints on that. All the symbols are now Halloween themed, including Jack the boy, who is now Jack O'Lector, the Expanding Wild symbol. The paytable remains identical to the original game, so punters should delight at the thought of getting 5 Expanding Wild Reels for the maximum winning possibility! Getting it, however, is always a totally different story, hahaha. In the old game, the best I could get was 4 Harp Wild Reels, for a huge win, but never getting all the 5, so I would expect similar results with this version as well.

Excited as I was when playing this game, I slowly realised that certain aspects were actually playing slightly differently from Jack the boy's game. There seemed to be more empty spins appearing, and the Free Spins games were harder to come by too. After playing several sessions on Halloween Jack, the best win I could get was a measly 53x my bet, which I must say, was very disappointing indeed! During the free spins play, the Wild symbols do not appear that often as well, so many of the Free Spins games paid very poorly. Getting the fully Expanded O'Lector Wild Reel really needed a lot more patience!

I love playing the old Jack game, and I was expecting to love this sequel too, but from what I have played, saw and observed, this Halloween Jack couldn't meet my expectations in terms of its performance! Why? The most probable reasons may be due to software providers current trend of diluting all payouts, stretching them out as far apart as possible, breaking up the huge possible wins into smaller ones, and so forth.

Nope, I certainly am not conspiring, nor am I speculating, but speaking out after numerous serious observations of new games from various providers - and they all are performing similarly. All these 'changes' are severely affecting enjoyment on the game and reducing the entertainment value, o much so that I don't think I would want to play Halloween Jack anymore - I'd rather stick and play Jack the boy's version!

Halloween Jack the latest release from Netent, not sure if it was wild bazaar first or Halloween jack first, but it was released like 2 weeks ago if I am not mistaken and this slot is the exact replica of Jack and the beanstalk, however it based on Halloween theme.

Halloween Jack looks fantastic with a spooky background and fantastic sound track. Symbols on the reels include A, K, Q, J and 10 royals which creatures lol, like horses and crows, very creepy. The Halloween pumpkin symbol is the wild and substitutes for all symbols but the scatter and lantern. It appears on all the reels except reel 1 in the base game. Now, any win involving a wild symbol will apply a 3x multiplier. When a wild appears, the walking wild feature is triggered which means you will get free re-spins until all wilds are off the reels. The walking wild feature can be triggered in both the base game and the free spins feature.

The Free Spins feature can be triggered by landing 3 or more treasure chest scatters anywhere on the reels and your reward will be 10 free spins. This slot does not pay for scatters at all, not even x2 or anything. That’s the downside of this slot. The free spins can be retriggered, and 5 additional spins will be given for 3 scatters. Not sure how many times you can retrigger.

Look out for the lantern symbol which only appears on reel 5 during the free spins feature. When it lands, you will activate extra wilds during the free spins.
• Stacked Hell Hound Wild – collect 3 lanterns symbols with the next wild appearing on the reels becoming a 2-high Stacked Hell Hound Wild.
• Stacked Jack-o’-lantern Wild – collect 6 lantern symbols with the next wild appearing becoming a 3-high Stacked Jack-o’-lantern wild.
• Expanding Death Reaper Wild – collect 9 lanterns with the next wild becoming an Expanding Death Reaper wild symbol. You will therefore get a wild reel which shifts 1 reel at a time

With all those wilds the walking wild feature is triggered. I think this slot is great and I love it, but the free spins hardly pays though. This is one of the first slots in a while where Netent says how much you can win up to.
