The Geisha is the Wild symbol in this game, 5 of which pays a beautiful 12,500x the line bet, and doubles all wins with it too. Nice, very nice, except for the Geisha herself. Her depiction here in this game leaves much to be desired. Have Microgaming guys really seen a real Geisha girl before? I doubt it! Otherwise they would have presented her much more beautifully. The Cherry Blossom flower is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays 200x the total bet, which is higher than the usual 100x. 3, 4 or 5 of these flowers trigger 15, 20 or 25 free spins, with all wins tripled, and more free spins can be retriggered. Very nice. The Temple pays 2500x, the Lantern pays 500x, the Fan pays 500x too, the Bell pays 300x, and the lower symbols pay from 200x to 100x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind. A good paytable.
The only problem when a game has a good paytable, is that good wins are much harder to come by, simply because the game is of the higher variance kind. Most times, the payouts tend to be small or mediocre, with intermittent good big wins of over 100x the total bet. This is exactly the case with this Cherry Blossoms game. For players who have not played enough of it, they would rate the game lowly, purely on the poor payouts they had gotten, but serious players would know better. Frankly speaking, my wins on this game have not been big enough to make me love it, but I do know that it can produce huge wins in the Free Spins game with its 3x multiplier. Such big wins have happened for me a number of times with certain Playtech games, but only once with a Microgaming game. This may seem strange but it is true. But what is not good for me, may not be the same for you. Play this Cherry Blossoms game often and you'll soon know which one is true for you, the good or the bad.
