Barber Shop is a Thunderkick powered video slot with 5 reels and 25 pay-lines. This slot game offers a few features that you could benefit from. Here, you can encounter locked symbols, free spins, re-spin and Inwinity feature. The reels feature cartoon-styled men with variety of facial hair, and tools which are necessary for a barber to shave its customers. Give this slot a go here for free or visit Thunderkick Casinos to play for real money.

Before you sit in the chair to take a haircut in this saloon, you should adjust your wager. This can be done via "bet", and once you click on it a black panel will open showing the available bets which span from 0.01 to 100. When you choose your wager, click "Spin" to start the reels turning or if you wish to turn the reels automatically for a preset number of times you should hit "Auto-play".

Many Thunderkick powered slot games are attention grabbing, and this one is no exception. Unlike so many other slots that offer a myriad of features, this one offers a few of them which can earn you a substantial amount of money. These features include a bonus symbol, and aforementioned Inwinity and Re-spin feature.

After each winning spin the symbols creating a combo will get a coat of shaving cream, and will remain fixed in place for the re-spin that is to follow. If that re-spin creates another winning pay-line, it will also get the shaving foam coating, and remain fixed for yet another re-spin. A good run here can bring a bunch of money. These re-spins will continue until no more matching symbols are added to the combination, and at that point your prize will be calculated.

Bonus symbol of the game comes in the form of "bonus" word written all over the sign. If you get 5 or more of these, the Free Spins round will be triggered, and you will be awarded with 10 free spins. Any additional bonus symbol you land will grant you 2 additional free spins. The maximum number of free spins you can get is 30. With each spin within the bonus round, the multiplier will increase by one level. The multiplier levels go as follows: 1x, 2x, 3x and 5x.

After you've used up all the free spins, and after the bonus round ends, the Inwinity Spin feature will be triggered. Once activated, the Inwinity Spin feature will enable the reels to continue on spinning until you land a winning combination. Winning combo in this round is guaranteed.

Barber Shop Uncut, is the sequel to the hair-raising original Thunderkick's game, Barber Shop. Why hair-raising? Because a lot of players got a hair-raising shock when the game couldn't live up to expectations! Hahaha. Many players complained about the low payouts from the game, but I myself found it acceptable, only because I had managed to get some nice wins from it. And so, with Barber Shop Uncut, I was expecting a similar game play from it, albeit some changes made to its paytable, but graphics and presentation wise, it looks identical to the original.

The blonde-moustached guy is now the highest paying symbol, replacing the bearded man, but the win value has been greatly reduced from 40x the total bet to only 15x now. All the other symbol values have been reduced as well, making this new paytable a very low one indeed. Argh! I hate it when things have been made no better than the original. If the 40 paylines of Barber Shop Uncut were supposed to cover back for the symbols value reduction, then this has not materialised at all in the many games that I have played so far. The payouts in the base game were simply way too low for anyone's liking, and the 40 paylines just did not deliver the goods. I found this very disturbing and very disappointing indeed!

What is even worse, the Free Spins game, activated by getting 5 Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels, now pays a flat 3x for all wins from the 10 free spins awarded, as compared to the variable 1x - 5x in the original game. Whilst bigger wins could be achieved with the 5x multiplier, the 3x simply failed to provide any good decent payouts. After playing more than 40 Free Spins games, the best win that I could get was a miserable 147x my total bet amount. My best win from the old game was 557x, so imagine the great difference in the winning potentials between the two games. What Thunderkick has done to Barber Shop Uncut is similar to what most other game providers have done to their games too - making the payouts much lower and smaller, for better revenue. Good for game providers, horrible for players!

DISLIKED

Thunderkick's games have never been of the high volatility or high variance kind, except perhaps for Birds On A Wire, but personally, I could still accept the changes made to Barber Shop Uncut if the game could play and pay better than what it is doing now. I was totally disappointed with it, and playing the game on many separate occasions only got me infuriated, without getting any sort of satisfaction at all! A very poor sequel to an otherwise fairly good game!

Thunderkick is best known for their strange looking games but that's a good thing, we need strange things in our live, whether it's your cat, dog, neighbour or mother in law. Then again, what's normal? If you used to eat on the roof everyday since your childhood, then eating on the roof is normal to you, right?

Barber Shop is powered by Thunderkick, same gaming provider who created Fruit Warp and Birds on a wire, yeah the last one was very shocking. I am amazed that they didn't sued by PETA yet, just kidding. The strangest thing about this game is these two words : barber, shop. Most people go to a barber shop to cut their hair but this particular barber shop only cuts mustache and beard.

The gameplay of this game is very similar with NetEnt's Jack Hammer, re-spin(s) feature is triggered when a winning spins is won. Each winning re-spin will add another re-spin. At first, this is an addicted feature. These kinda feature is added to a lot of NetEnt games. Jack Hammer series, Reel Rush, When Pigs Fly, Gonzo's Quest etc.

I have played this game a lot on the day it was released and mainly it was at Casumo because Casumo was one of the first casinos that offers Thunderkick's games. Actually, when I visit Casumo, the very best thing in my mind was a Thunderkick game, it's very odd and I never had anything like this on other casinos. Is it good? I think so because I visit their website quite a lot.

Barber Shop doesn't pay as much as Fruit Warp but it has the same fun-factor. Patience is required playing this game because the bonus round is not that easy to trigger and when it triggered, you will never awarded with 0 win because the last free spin is a sure win spin, that means, it will kept spinning till it hits a winning spin.

Honestly, I never hit the super mega win-win, keep in mind that I've played the games a lot and never hit over 200x bet. It might be just bad luck. I know it's possible because I thought the same about Fruit Warp and there are plenty players saying otherwise and I believe them (because of winning screenshots). Will I ever hit the big one? I guess there's only one way to find out.

Although I don't find this games theme to be hugely attractive I do appreciate the great balance between making the game look cartoon style without being overly childish. The way the game works seems really quite similar to NetEnt's "King of Slots", which surprised me recently by being a thoroughly enjoyable game. It's a 15 reel type game meaning all fifteen positions on the screen can show the same symbol on any single spin, giving the tantalising possibility of a full screen of the same symbol. Your chances of such a hit are enhanced by the free respins that are awarded anytime a winning combination lands on the screen - winning symbols are locked in place and the remaining positions will re-spin for the chance to add further or improved winning paylines to your total. It's a style of game made popular by the Jack Hammer games, but the formula has been tweaked and refined a little since that game was released and this game would be a little more enjoyable in my opinion provided the paytable stacks up.

Well, the top five of a kind symbol combination pays out 40x your stake and with 25 paylines that makes the top win 1000x your bet, just like Jack Hammer. That made me wonder if this game was infact a straight up clone, but infact there is an additional multiplier awarded for consecutive respins during the bonus mode which actually gives this game a maximum possible win of 5000x your stake - a huge plus I would say!

I do often find this type of game works better with more paylines, but that didn't seem to be an issue in Barber Shop - instead, I did find that many respins would result in no additional symbols dropping into place. It definitely seems to occur much less often than in the Jack Hammer games although conversely I did find that the bonus symbols feel as if they drop a little more regularly and that was backed up by the fact that almost every time I got three bonus symbols onscreen the respin would land an extra one to give me the free spin feature. It's hard to say if my experience is truly representative as my sample size is only a thousand spins or so.
