Aztecs Empire plays with 10 paylines and pays both ways, similar as with Novomatic games, because they both originate from that particular part of Europe. The Temple is the Wild symbol, 5 of which pays an incredible 15,000x the line bet, one of the highest values for a Wild symbol. It substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter symbol, but is nevertheless a dumb symbol too, because it doesn't double any wins, it doesn't become stacked and it doesn't expand on the reels. The Aztec Princess, a beautiful one too, is the Scatter symbol, 5 of her paying 7500x the line bet, or 750x the total bet amount, which is excellent. As for the other symbols, the Idol pays 5000x, the Key pays 4000x, the Explorer pays 3500x, and the others pay from 750x down to 400x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind. Have a good look at the paytable. It is definitely an excellent paytable!
Getting 3 or more Scatters trigger 10 free spins, which at first I thought would have a scattering special symbol, but no, not in this game. What it has is a fully Stacked Wild Reel that appears only on reel 1 at the start of the Free Spins game, then appearing on reel 2 for the third free spin, then on reel 3 on the fifth free spin, and so on, until it reaches reel 5. Other single Wilds may appear in each spin too. I have seen games that have one Stacked Wild Reel appearing on one reel at a time, for each and every free spin, but in Aztecs Empire, the Stacked Wild Reel appears only on alternate free spin, shifting from one reel to the next reel on the right.
My one and only play on this game so far, was really satisfying. The game played well, even though it was tough to see those 3 beautiful Princesses appearing on the reels, mostly only 1 or 2 of her would appear, but finally getting that Free Spins game was worth the waiting. I only managed to get it twice. In the first Free spins game, it paid me a nice 68x win. The second game paid a good 52x win. Then I became greedy and wanted to win more and to get bigger wins, but the Princess wasn't giving. She had me put in the cauldron with a burning fire under it instead. Hahaha. Ah well, greed can get you cooked into a soup at most times, but can get you riches on certain good times. No pain, no gain. No 'soup', no 'scoop'. And I'll definitely be back for the 'scoop'. Hehehe.
