Betsoft released this game in 2016 and I don't know why is this my first time seeing it, because I play Betsoft games lately a lot and they never disappoint my expectation. The game has 5 reels and 30paylines which is okay keeping in mind that the game has a feature called "Zodiac Wheel" and every 30spins, random symbol is gonna become gold and it will pay 10x the return, keep in mind that symbols left and right next to yours will be 5x too and base games wins can become really good combining your symbol with(Golden Cat) which is wild symbol and I had luck getting 85x win by just getting a couple of 10x symbols connecting with wild which means that this game has an amazing potential to pay in base game and you don't see it a lot these days.

The game is called 4 Seasons for a reason the calendar changes after 90spins and the game background will look different it can change to Winter, Summer, Autumn, and Spring, you can see that Betsoft really did a great job and amount of effort they put in design and characters as the game looks like its made in 2019 and looks better than a lot of newer slots.
Free spins were really hard to trigger for me and i really thought its gonna be something amazing with how many times I failed to get the last scatter symbol(Ying Yang Symbol) 3 of them will give you 8 free spins but I guess after the torture I got somehow 4 and the game awarded me with 12 free spins, there is no multiplier involved and it feels like you are playing just normal base game.


Glad that Betsoft decided to put Double-up option in this game as I would probably dry out fast with how game treated me but somehow managed to hit 4-5 gambles in a row and get a nice profit and finished off walking with 60$ at the end being happy that I doubled my balance, will think twice will i come back again to play this game because in my opinion there are better Betsoft games.

It's really difficult to trigger the bonus in the 350 spins I only triggered it once and amount of teases I was getting was unreal, keep in mind that there is no any multiplier involved when playing free spins which disappointed me a lot and of course payout were bad.
Under the Zodiac wheel, there is addon to see how much progress is made, which tells you how many spins are left until you get another symbol and I had a problem knowing exactly how much, because there are just empty dots that become green once you complete a spin so you won't know how much is left exactly which can be confusing.

Okay, we've seen a few zodiac games before, with either Western or Chinese zodiac symbols, but sadly though, I have not come across any zodiac game that I like so far. Then BetSoft came up a their game, 4 Seasons, utilising Chinese zodiac symbols, but presented in a rather unusual way. They all look like puppets or dolls to me, and I can't quite figure out what zodiac sign each doll-like animal represents. Definitely needs lots of getting used to, but it doesn't really matter actually. Just recognise the animal, not necessarily the zodiac sign, and you'll be okay with this game. Yes, I found it odd at first, then I changed my point of view, and just played the game as if I'm playing with animal icons.

This 4 Seasons game plays like no other game does. It introduces a new feature, called the 'Seasonal Wheel', whereby this wheel rotates with every 30 spins made on the game, changing the corresponding zodiac animal symbols as it progresses along. Every 90 spins made would change the season of the year as well, from Spring to Winter. But what does all these changes do to the game? Well, the highlighted zodiac animal of the season, is highlighted in gold and pays 10x the bet amount, whilst the zodiac animals directly to the left and right of the gold animal are highlighted in silver, and pays 5x the total bet. The 3 animals left and right of the silver animal are highlighted in bronze, and pays 2x the total bet. However, free spins do not rotate this Seasonal Wheel, only regular spins would rotate it. This Seasonal Wheel becomes the effective paytable for each and every spin played, paying in addition to the regular paytable. All these may sound very confusing, which is true at first, but you'll soon get used to it.

The regular paytable has the 'Golden Cat' as the Wild symbol, 5 of which pays 10,000x the line bet, but doesn't double any wins, doesn't come stacked and doesn't expand. It only substitutes other symbols except for the Scatter symbol. The 'Yin Yang' is the Scatter symbol but doesn't pay anything for itself, which is very unusual and disappointing. 3, 4 or 5 of these Scatters trigger 8, 12 or 20 free spins, but without any additional win multiplier, yet again another disappointing trait. Why so? That's because the multipliers are being applied to the 'Block Win Combos' instead, regardless of winning them in the base game or in the Free Spins game. Another new trait that needs getting used to. All other Cat symbols pay a flat 50x the line bet for any 5 of them, making the overall paytable a very low one.

Hmm, I cannot really appreciate all these new traits, omitting the usual winning ways, whilst introducing new ways to win. The Free Spins game, without any multiplier attached to it, proved to be dull and boring most of the time, with just straight unmultiplied wins, unless won in a Block Win Combo, which doesn't happen too often either. My few plays on this game were very disappointing indeed, with literally small payouts most of the time, and even wins with the Golden Cat couldn't boost the wins up to higher levels. This 4 Seasons game can go on rotating and changing its seasons, but I'll be sticking put with my own fixed season - sunny and bright all year long, and Summertime all year long too, hehehe.

Personally I loved this slot, not only for its outstanding design, but also the great potential to generate big wins both during base game and during the round of free spins, not to mention the innovative nature of its features. I'm just familiar with this video slot and I already see it as a strong candidate to be included in the top 5 of games developed by Betsoft Gaming. Recommended!

4 Seasons is the newest slot game from Betsoft software. Although I am not the biggest fan for their games, I like to keep up with their news. The inspiration for this game is Chinese new year, and because of it the game was released earlier in February. But I really enjoy how the inspiration wasn't as literal as usually it is with Chinese themed slots.

Usually when I play Betsoft slots, I expect many different types of bonus rounds and 30 paylines with minimum coin size of 0.02€. And this partly fits to this game as well, as it is a 30 line slot, but when it comes to bonuses, this game only has a free spins bonus round and a seasonal wheel feature, which changes payouts for symbols, so like that they’ve become more simple in terms of features.

I have to say that I've had two sessions with this game and the first time I played it was on demo. I just wanted to try it before I play it for real money. The calendar feature is really interesting and I haven't seen something like that before. As the name tells, this game incorporates in itself 4 seasons of the year. Nothing really changes in payouts or features, just the background experiences changes- sun, snow etc. Each season lasts for 90 spins, while the seasonal wheel, which shows what symbol has 10x payout, changes once in 30 spins, there's even a small meter that counts the spins.

I played around 1000 spins on this game and in my opinion this game is a money eater. Most of the time I would get empty spins, like ten empty spins and then a 2x bet win, not even once my demo balance got over the start amount. A couple of times I had a 30x bet winnings but they came from the highest paying symbols in a combination with wilds. There's also a blockade feature, which just multiplies your winnings in case you have a block win, but I didn’t even once experienced that.
Maybe it was just my lack of luck, but within 1000 spins I made, not once I had a free spins round.

Second time I spent time with this game was with real money. I had a balance of 40€ and I played with minimum bets and free spins came rather often, but they were very disappointing, as you receive 8 free spins played with base game bets.Because of that I had over 5 free spins features and none paid more than 30x bet.

Overall I think this is an average game from Betsoft, I do like the thought they have put into this game in design and characters, but the payouts are low, I lost all my real money funds on this game and didn’t even get over my initial balance amount.
