Amazing game when you know how to play - The whole point of this game is to get free spins. There are certain patterns for the re-spins in order to get free spins, so pay attention while playing. Usually, the most expensive reel once youve got 2 free spin symbols ends up being the winning one. Not ALWAYS, but more frequently than not. Might take you a few re-spins to get it. Also, dont waste all your money trying to chase a free spin, as sometimes it seems that no matter how many times you spin you can't get the third free spin symbol. I warned you!

However - regardless I've made the most winnings overall out of any slot from this one. You just have to "master" how to play it, and it will then start paying out quite well. Just make sure you have plenty of balance to play this one, and don't go too far chasing free spins!

DISLIKED

Can take a ton of your balance chasing the third free spin symbol - Be careful and start with a small bet amount. Usually i'll play on 1 Euro, but most should start much lower as respins cost quite a bit.

In the beginning, there was only fruit games on fruit machines. Then over the years, there was Retro Reels, taking us back in time, back to the fruit games. Then came Retro Reels Diamond Glitz, with more of the oldie fruit game but now with the glitz of glittering diamonds. After that, came another one more, Retro Reels Extreme Heat, but we'll come to that later on, after this bit first.

So, have you played Retro Reels yet? Do you like it? If you have played it, then this is sort of a follow up to that game. Not really an upgraded version or whatever, it's just another version using diamonds instead of the symbol '7'. Everything else is exactly the same, except for the 25 paylines this game is using, as opposed to the 20 paylines of Retro Reels, and also requiring 3 or more Scatter symbols to activate the Free Spins game, as opposed to only 2 Scatters in Retro Reels. If you can win at Retro Reels, then you can probably win at Diamond Glitz too.

There isn't any Wild symbol, same as before, with only the Bonus Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays the usual 100x the total bet. 3, 4 or 5 of these Bonus Scatter symbols activate 15, 20 or 25 free spins, with all wins doubled. The Free Spins game can be retriggered. That's good enough. The '$' symbol pays 10,000x, 3-diamonds symbol pays 500x, 2-diamonds symbol pays 500x, 1-diamond symbol pays 250x, and the rest pay from 250x to 75z, all per line bet for 5 of each kind. Again, a low paytable, despite the good value for the '$' symbol.

DISLIKED

Well, the paytable may be the same, but the game doesn't play the same. Trying to get the Free Spins game was a lot harder in this Diamond Glitz game that in Retro Reels, simply because those 3 Bonus Scatters did not come often. Getting 2 Bonus Scatters to trigger the Free Spins game would be a lot easier. Anyhow, when things are harder to get, the payouts should be a little better, and this is quite true for this game. The Free Spins game tend to pay better here, with about 40x the total bet amount on average. The 3 Free Spins games that I had all paid about 40x my bet amount, plus or minus a little bit. The only setback is that the Free Spins games don't come that often, they can be hard to get, and you may run out of credits first before the next one can come.

Retro Reels Diamond Glitz is another addition to the Retro Reels series. I gladly play this slot. I cannot say that it is my favourite though. This slot reminds me of the classic Las Vegas slots. This is 5 reels and 25 pay lines video slot game from Microgaming software provider. This is one of those games that offer a re-spin after each spin, but this feature is never on my side. I learned my lesson the hard way so I try to avoid it even if I need only one scatter to trigger a bonus round.

As soon as I started playing the Retro Reels Diamond Glitz I triggered the free spins. I got 15 free spins and I won 35 euros. It might not be a lot but it really was a nice job since I have just started playing. During the next free spins round I got an amazing 89 euros. The wins were gradually increasing every time I triggered the free spins round. There are constant wins during the base game, so most of the times your balance is going high rather than low. It is funny though that I never got more than 15 free spins. Because during this game you can get 15, 20 or 25 free spins for 3, 4 and 5 scatters respectively. And that is not all; you can even retrigger the free spins too. I never managed to retrigger the free spins but I cannot complain with the wins that I had up until now.

DISLIKED

The only thing that I really hated when I played this slot was the sound effects. They were bothering me for a while, and if the game was not showing any potential I would have switched to another slot, but instead I just put the voice on mute. I believe that this slot would be perfect if the background music was more soothing.
