I always liked the winter much more than the summer. There is something very peaceful in watching that white dressing all around you. It just relaxes your soul. I have watched a lot of shows about the poles wildlife and everyday living of the people there in those harsh conditions. I have to say that Alaskan Sun has really managed to capture that theme. The overall look of the game is very good. Not too animated but still very likable to the eye. The sound when some feature is won is also calm and doesn't disturb your overall play.

When I first played this game I was very happy to see that is has two features. The standard pick up bonus and the free spins bonus. The pick up bonus is triggered when 3 wild symbols appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. Here you have to click on every symbol that reveals a number. All number are than multiplied with each other and than multiplied by the triggering bet. The total win form this feature can go up to 1000 x bet but unfortunately the most I have won is a weak 36 x bet. Lucky for me I got this feature twice in 100 spins so I was back to my starting balance. I really wanted to trigger the free spins feature and see the payout it would give. This feature is triggered when 3 or more scatter symbols , which is Igloo, appear left to right. Then you can win 10, 20 or 50 free games. I have to say that I am not a big fan of games where scatters need to land left to right. Usually these features are hard to get. That was the same case here. In the next 100 spins on a 1 dollar bet I didn't manage to get any of the features and I lost about 70 dollars.

Overall this looks like a good game but the payout just wasn't there for me. Maybe I will have more luck next time.

Alaskan Sun is a game powered by NuWorks. I am new to NuWorks games and the only reason why I started playing, was the no deposit bonus that I got on it. Initially I was awarded with 30 dollars which I managed to turn to 100 dollars that I could withdraw. The lady luck was smiling at me and I was winning on every game. In fact I was so lucky that the high play through requirement felt like 10 x. Because on this first contact I decided to dedicate a whole month to Nu Works games.

On my journey I stumbled upon this game and just had to give it a try. At first glance the game looks pretty cool. The theme of the north pole comes to mind and seeing all of that snow gives me chills. I dare not to spin until I check the pays. Usually I give it a blind try, but because my bet is a $1 for each spin, I just had to see what I need and what pays big.
The whole picture in front of me is very different from what I am used too and I really like it. There are random Jackpots in the game, ability to make the spins faster or slower, tonnes of buttons and cool music. As minutes pass I get to like what I see more and more. Finally when I fed my eyes, I started trying to feed my pockets. I put the speed to four I start playing. I am not a patient player, so the faster it spins the better.

There are two features in this game. There are free spins and Eskimo bonus. Both are awesome in their own way and can certainly make you a lot of money.
With a possibility to get 50 free spins I was praying to get five scatters. I got four of them starting on the second reel and was freaking out. It is the worst when you get that and to get it few times in the matter of minutes feels like a kick in the groin. Finally I got three of the and got 10 free spins. In the free spins the wild doubles your win and on my first go I won $39. I got more free spins later on but never managed to get more that three scatters. On average my win would be from $25 to $45.

The Eskimo bonus is awarded when you get three of them on the 2, 3 and 4 reels. The Eskimo is also wild so when you get the bonus you also get a good line hit. I only got this bonus a couple of times and i can say for sure that it all depends on luck. It is said that you can get 1000 x your total bet, to get that you will need 10 x 10 x 10. I never managed to get even one 10 and max i won on this feature was 2 x 4 x 5 = 40 times my bet.

Over all experience was really good. I am surprised and am wondering how come i never played this games before. The game has pretty much everything i could want from it and it would be unfair of me to give it less than 9 out of 10. Hope you enjoyed my review and have a nice day:)

NuWorks with its Alaskan Sun game introduces us the wildlife of the name giving land and fortunately they had the tools to greatly interpret it. We can see a nice, peaceful snowy surroundings in the background while the reels presents us with the help of well-drawn symbols some great animal images (wolf, polar bear, fish, deer) and other specific emblems like igloo or Eskimo woman. There’s really nothing specialty in its appearance but the slot still provides a very restful and comforting atmosphere what I can much appreciate.

After the Jackpots what we’re used to at NuWorks products the 5 Wolf symbols on an active payline must be on top of the list as no other figure can pay better in such cases here, than that 5000 times of line bet reward. The nice Igloo symbol is the Scatter and pays up to 50 times of total bet and I remember the time when once I was lucky to get 5 of them on the screen and won more than €60 (unfortunately, not too often happens when I can see 5 Scatters or something like this so I must esteem every occasion even if I was a little bit sorry for myself this win didn’t happen at a slot that would have paid me x 200 or even more of total stake).

Eskimo is the Wild but it just appears on the 3 middle reels and doesn’t multiply wins. Triggering the Alaskan Pick Bonus is also attached to Wild as if it land on the inner reels at the same time can give the chance to pick these figures to reveal their bonus credits and the final cumulative prize is multiplied by the triggering bet and can be as high as 1000 times of it. Free spins starts when 3 or more Igloos pop up from left to right on the reels and can be 10, 20 or even 50 extra games. Each win there that needs a Wild to be completed automatically gains a doubled prize while both the Alaskan bonus and additional free games entries can be won during that session.

Alaskan Sun is not an unequipped slot regarding to features but in my opinion these extras could be more generous. Playing the game I never feel that excitement what must be when a feature is triggered because the usual results at the end of the side games are disappointment and sometimes raise the question ‘Was that it I’ve waited for?’

Overall, Alaskan Sun is a decent but just an ordinary slot product. Despite the honorable visual experience the game just can’t break out from the mediocre level and if someone starts to play it with too high expectations there’s a chance at the end of the session the delusion feeling maybe will come out.
