Step into a sci-fi disaster with Alien Robots, a truly mind-boggling video slot. The game allows players to use a conventional payline system, or wager double to abolish the paylines completely and go for 243 total ways to win. See how kind these machines really are for yourself. Give this game a try on our website for free, or register at any listed NetEnt casino to play for real money.
Start by choosing how much you want to wager. Press the buttons by Coin Value to set your coin denomination. Use the Lines + Ways buttons to select how many active paylines you would like. Press it all the way to the right to use 243 ways instead. Since you only have to pay for 60 of the ways, this is definitely to your advantage. Press the buttons by Bet Level to change the number of coins wagered per line. Click the circular arrow button to start spinning, or use Max Bet to wager 5 coins with 243 ways activated. Use the Autoplay button to play several times continuously.
In addition to having 243 ways to win, Alien Robots gives players plenty of opportunities to have a memorable chance at walking away with cash. Get three or more scattered UFOs to activate the game's rewarding free spins feature. If a wild appears during these free spins, it will activate the expanding sticky wild feature. The wild will expand and the reel will re-spin once, greatly increasing your shot at walking away with a jackpot. With any luck, these strange creatures will lavish you with wealth.

Ah, I'm way behind time in terms of playing this Alien Robots game, but better late than never. I guess the look of the game just didn't and couldn't attract me enough to play it then, it still doesn't, because the graphics aren't that great and the robots don't look attractive enough to me. If they were to look like the Energoonz aliens, for example, then I'd probably have played this game much earlier. But some players have been posting up nice winning screenshots on Alien Robots, and that got me curious like a cat, like a cat that I tend to be at times. Hehehe.
The Wild symbol does not pay anything, oh damn, neither do any of the Scatter symbols, that's double damn, and double dumb symbols in a game! Oh sheesh! In the Free Spins game, the Wilds become Sticky Expanded Wilds, award 1 Respin, revert back to the regular Wild after that respin, and doesn't double any wins with it. Sounds good but is actually not so good. 3, 4 or 5 Scatters award 10, 20 or 50 free spins but do not have any win multiplier. Oh damn yet again. The highest paying symbol, the Red Robot, pays 1500x the line bet for 5 of them, the Orange Robot 1000x, the Yellow Robot 750x, the Green Robot 500x, the Blue Robot 200x, and the rest 120x down to 75x the line bet for 5 of each kind. Hmm. Zero paying Wilds, zero paying Scatters, free spins without any multiplier, low paying symbols, all adding up to a very low paytable. Not the kind of game I would stick my neck into for long periods of time, that's for sure.
The minimum starting bet of $0.60 per spin for a 30-paylines game is double the usual standard, never mind the 243 ways to win. Why it needs to be $0.60 per spin I cannot really appreciate nor rationalise. Paying both ways left-to-right and right-to-left doesn't really justify it. It is still a tad too high, as far as I'm concerned. Starburst, for example, has 10 paylines, pays both ways, yet play with only $0.10 bet per spin, and so do many other similar games too. Alien Robots should have been set the same way, but it isn't it. That's not a good point in my books.
Playing the game brought me mixed results, both bad and good. The bad part concerns the low payouts most of the time, the good part concerns the occasional decent wins that can be had in the Free Spins game, although the highest I've had so far was only 156x my bet amount. How high can it go? Not a lot higher, that much I can bet, probably just around the 250x the total bet amount I would say. So never go chasing for the big goose in this game! The robots aren't really that big, and that's a big shame.
