Parthenon: Quest for Immortality slot is 6 reels and 10000 paylines, powered by Net Entertainment software. The mythology-themed game is taking you back to the ancient Greece where you will get to challenge the vicious and powerful Medusa. If you think that you are brave enough to face her, you can do that here for fun or visit any of the NetEnt Casinos to play for real.
How to Play Parthenon: Quest for Immortality Slot
Medusa is famous for turning heroes to stone, so if you want to avoid that, make sure your bets are set before you spin the reels.
- Choose Coin Stack button to open a quick bet panel where you can set the bet sizes.
- Reels will start moving the moment you hit Spin button.
- Autoplay opens up a panel where you can choose Turbo Spin, Quick Spin and the number of automated spins.
- Fast Forward will spin the reels way faster than usual.
Slot Features
The game features something called Wild Generation Zone which may sound complicated, but not really. Any symbol that is a part of a win combo will transform into a Wild symbol that will stick to the grid and remain there for the Avalanche that will follow. Wild symbols can sub in for all the symbols except for the Free Spins and Scatter symbols.
Free Spins
If you want to kick the feature off you will need to get at least 3 Free Spins symbols to appear anywhere on the grid. This will award you with 8 spins to begin with. Each additional Free Spin symbol that you land that activates Free Spins will award extra 4 spins, and for each 3 Scatters that you collect during the round, you will get another 2 spins.
During the round all win ways will get multiplied by the current Multiplier which starts at x1, and each symbol that transforms into a Wild will increase that Multiplier by x1. Multipliers reach a cap when they hit x20.
Summary
Parthenon: Quest for Immortality has impeccable design, but we never expected anything less from NetEnt’s team. Slot’s theme may not be anything innovative, but the gameplay sure packs some nice surprises that we personally liked. RTP is just a tiny bit below industry’s average set to 96.03% but we still do not have the info about volatility or the max win potential – however, NetEnt almost never disappoints so take the slot for a spin and let’s see if that really is the case.
Parthenon: Quest for immortality is a 6 reels game with 4 rows at each end and 5 rows in between, with 10,000 ways to win. Not really a Megaways game, but not my kind of game either. Nonetheless, I gave it one try, found it quite interesting, and ended up playing a few times instead, but that’s about it. I don’t ever have much interest in multi-reels, multi-rows or thousand-ways games whatsoever, except for trying them out at least one time.
Paytable wise, it isn’t good either, with both the Wild and Scatter symbols being non-paying, whilst the regular symbols pay from 40x down to 0.5x for 6-of-a-kind wins - very low win values indeed, keeping in pace with the current trend, which I don’t like at all. The Wild symbol doesn’t appear on the reels, except when a vacant spot is left on any of the top 5-rows reels, thereby creating a Wild symbol in each vacant spot. Not interesting nor good enough actually, because most spins would be without any Wild symbol in play, so winning chances are thereby reduced.
In the base game, these Wilds do not carry any multipliers, except during the free spins play, whereby each Wild would add +1x multiplier, up to a maximum of 20x multiplier. However, this multiplier value goes back to 1x after the end of each free spin feature game, so each new game then becomes a new challenge. Needless to say, big wins could only be won during the free spins play, with the bigger multipliers in play, otherwise, most of the payouts would be quite smallish.
Getting 3 Scatter symbols would award 8 free spins, and each additional Scatter symbol would award 4 more free spins, up to 20 free spins in total. Not a lot of free spins for getting 6 Scatter symbols, especially when no win is won either. Getting 3 Scatter symbols during the free spins play would add +2 more free spins, but this is again not good enough. Most other games would add +2 more free spins with only 2 Scatters, so getting many free spins in one feature game is a rarity for this Parthenon game.
From my few play sessions on this game, I managed to get 2 good wins of 333x and 222x, but all the other feature games paid wins of 50x or less. During its bad mood, the wins would be quite insignificant, dishing out wins of 10x and under. I don’t really know how well this game can pay, simply because even with a 20x multiplier, the top symbols would only pay a 800x win. Nothing great in that, so I wouldn’t really expect this game to be that good in giving out big wins.
