Parthenon: Quest for immortality is a 6 reels game with 4 rows at each end and 5 rows in between, with 10,000 ways to win. Not really a Megaways game, but not my kind of game either. Nonetheless, I gave it one try, found it quite interesting, and ended up playing a few times instead, but that’s about it. I don’t ever have much interest in multi-reels, multi-rows or thousand-ways games whatsoever, except for trying them out at least one time.

Paytable wise, it isn’t good either, with both the Wild and Scatter symbols being non-paying, whilst the regular symbols pay from 40x down to 0.5x for 6-of-a-kind wins - very low win values indeed, keeping in pace with the current trend, which I don’t like at all. The Wild symbol doesn’t appear on the reels, except when a vacant spot is left on any of the top 5-rows reels, thereby creating a Wild symbol in each vacant spot. Not interesting nor good enough actually, because most spins would be without any Wild symbol in play, so winning chances are thereby reduced.

In the base game, these Wilds do not carry any multipliers, except during the free spins play, whereby each Wild would add +1x multiplier, up to a maximum of 20x multiplier. However, this multiplier value goes back to 1x after the end of each free spin feature game, so each new game then becomes a new challenge. Needless to say, big wins could only be won during the free spins play, with the bigger multipliers in play, otherwise, most of the payouts would be quite smallish.

Getting 3 Scatter symbols would award 8 free spins, and each additional Scatter symbol would award 4 more free spins, up to 20 free spins in total. Not a lot of free spins for getting 6 Scatter symbols, especially when no win is won either. Getting 3 Scatter symbols during the free spins play would add +2 more free spins, but this is again not good enough. Most other games would add +2 more free spins with only 2 Scatters, so getting many free spins in one feature game is a rarity for this Parthenon game.

From my few play sessions on this game, I managed to get 2 good wins of 333x and 222x, but all the other feature games paid wins of 50x or less. During its bad mood, the wins would be quite insignificant, dishing out wins of 10x and under. I don’t really know how well this game can pay, simply because even with a 20x multiplier, the top symbols would only pay a 800x win. Nothing great in that, so I wouldn’t really expect this game to be that good in giving out big wins.

The theme of this slot is based on Greek mythology with the entire slot designed inside a Greek temple with idols of Zeus and Athena standing next to it and the temple seems like its floating in the sky.

The slot has 10000 pay lines and all wins are counted on adjacent reels with a slot structure having rows laid out in a format of 4x5x5x5x5x4.

There 10, Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces which have low payout values that range between 0.4x to 1x your bet size and a little higher paying symbols such as a Trident, a Snake , Pegasus and a Greek ship which pay in the range of 1x to 2.5

The highest paying symbols is Medusa that pays 40x.
Every winning hit triggers an avalanche feature which requires a minimum of 3 symbols to connect apart from the Medusa which triggers the feature with a two symbol connection. If the connected symbol is placed o the topmost row of reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 then it forms a wild. These rows are called the Wild Generation Zone. You can bet a minimum of 20 cent to a maximum of $200 on this slot.

To trigger the bonus you need 3 free spin scatter symbols and if u land an additional symbol you get 4 extra spins for every free spin symbol. As soon as you trigger the bonus you get 8 free spins with multiplier feature. The multiplier begins at one and every time you get a hit that generates a wild in the the wild generation zone the multiplier goes up by one up to a maximum of 20x. During free spins you also land free spin symbol and as soon as you collect 3 symbols u get 2 additional free spins.

I really liked how they upgraded the design of this slot while maintaining the core of the prequel but that's the only think I liked about this slot. The bonus takes too much time to trigger and base game is cold.

I recommend you to only play this slot if you are on bonus money and that too if you are looking to finish your wager.

The base game can give over 30 dead spins on the trot.
Apart from the Medusa symbol no other symbol pays good.
The prequel to this game had a multiplier feature in base game which I think was a great aspect of the game and it shouldn't have been removed. The game even when on quick spins is slow.

Remember Pyramid Quest for Immortality with the 2 ancient totems next to the reels that looked similar to Yggdrasil's Valley of Gods, well Netent has released a remake of this slot, with a decent paytable to say the least, but moreover great winning potential and extremely super volatile – As in you will have a win 2 out of 10 spins on average, or maybe 3 wins to be honest. This game sucked for me.

This game has 6 reels with standard 10 000 ways to pay, and with the highest symbols Athena symbol paying x40 your stake, I must say Netent took the paytable to match almost the Megaways versions of slot, not exactly but almost the same. With a mythical theme, set in the sky almost somewhere like Asgard you will find royals randing from 10 – A's on the reels and higher-paying symbols like Pegasus, ships, snakes, and Parthenon the Goddess Athena herself.

Now the game has only one great feature to the upgraded version which is the free spins feature and sticky multipliers just like Pyramid Quest. During the base game whenever a symbol on the top row(Wild Generation Zone) above reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 creates a win, the symbol is turned into a wild for extra guaranteed wins, provided they next to each other or 2 wilds. When more winning combinations strike, the spin ends. This is where I got most of my wins in the base game because landing 2 scatters happens every 5 spins, but never the 3rd one, over 600 spins, and still not a free spins feature in this slot.

Landing 3 scatter symbols will trigger free spins and you start with 3 free spins. You can unlock extra spins by collecting 3 scatters. When you create a win, the multiplier increase and are sticky for the duration of the free spins feature.

So think of this slot as Bonanza or any megaways just with fixed pay ways of 10 000 ways to win.

I don’t like this slot, it's awful. The fact that I want to have a big win and struggle, the challenge keeps me going and that is why I play it. Personal bets x50 in the base game.
