Slot Features
Seems that this is a pretty stripped down and there is not many features to expect. Wild symbol is the map of 3 kingdoms, and it comes with a nice animation attached. Wild, as usual, can substitute for all the symbols during both the base game and the bonus round, but it can appear only on reels 2 and 4.
Free Spins
Free Spins symbol is a random occurrence, and landing 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels will trigger the bonus round. Drum beats, war cries and thrilling music will mark the start of the feature, and all wins during the feature will be multiplied by x3.
Summary
King of 3 Kingdoms is a bare bones slot with 96.88% RTP. There is some action on the reels, but we must admit we’ve expected more. It is a medium to high volatility and with only one feature that offers the chance to make some decent wins. However, if Asian themed games are your thing, then give the game a shot and see what you think of it.
This King Of 3 Kingdoms game by NetEnt reminds me of Playtech’s Heavenly Ruler game, in the sense that it is Oriental-themed, offers a similar free spins feature game, although the symbols do not share the same high win values as in Heavenly Ruler. Nonetheless, seeing that it offers a 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier feature game was a good enough reason for me to give this game a try or two.
What I like best about King Of 3 Kingdoms is its 243 ways to win, with a starting minimum bet of only $0.25 per spin – beating my favourite 15, 20 and 25 liner games. Okay, so the win value of each of the symbol isn’t as good as in Playtech’s games, but the 243 ways could certainly make a big difference at the right time. Nonetheless, it is worth noting that the Wild symbol doesn’t pay anything for itself, doesn’t double any wins with it, and only appears on reels 2 and 4, so that sucks. Getting 5 Scatter symbols would pay only 50x the total bet, so that’s one more sore point for this game.
Landing 3 Scatters on the first 3 reels would award the free spins feature game, but there’s no mention if it can be retriggered, so I can only presume that no retriggers would be possible (in my one and only play session, I didn’t get any 3 Scatters during the free spins play, hence I cannot be certain of this). Perhaps this game is similar to another of NetEnt’s game, Victorious, which plays and pays quite similarly, but the free spins feature game can be retriggered, which would be better of course.
To be fair to King Of 3 Kingdoms, I have not done enough of spins on the game, but if it is similar to the game Victorious, then good wins would definitely be possible, and would make this game good and playable too. Perhaps I may give it a few more tries later on, just to confirm what I don’t know, and to see a bigger picture of how it would play and pay.
