How to Play Yeti Battle of Greenhat Peak slot
This game is probably be the weirdest slots you ever played since the theme itself, even though imaginative, has no sense whatsoever. Still, one thing is pretty simple, and that is the way you control the game.
- The 1 Coin button will open a separate panel that is displaying available bets pick the one that suits your needs the most, and get the reels spinning.
- To set the reels in motion you need to hit the Spin button, and for when you get tired of spinning the reels yourself there is the Autoplay.
- When you hit Autoplay button, a panel will open and let you choose the number of times that you wish for the reels to spin, without stopping.
Slot Features
One thing is sure, Thunderkick does not lack any imagination when it comes to themes and features, and Yeti Battle of Greenhat Peak slot is no different. You can expect a Wild Attack at any point in the game including the Free Spins feature which eventually can result in some Sticky Wilds.
Green-hatted Bavarian man is the Wild symbol in the game, and it can act as a substitute for all the symbols except for the Bonus symbol. So let’s see how the features of this slot can get triggered.
Free Spins
Shiny Golden Carrot is the Bonus symbol in the game, and when you land at least 2 of those, you will trigger the Wild Attack. However, 3 or more Carrots on the reels will trigger the Bonus Free Spin feature. Once triggered, you can win 10, 15 or 20 spins, depending on the number of the triggering symbols.
If you land additional 3 Carrots during the Free Spins feature, you will get awarded with additional 5 spins, and you can go to a max total of 20.
Wild Attack Meter
Each Bonus symbol that appears on the reels activates 1 step on the Wild Attack meter. Every 3 Bonus Symbols award an extra random Sticky Wild for the remaining of the feature, and it will grant additional 2 spins until the complete meter is filled. Full meter will grant 5 extra spins, and you can reach the maximum of 31 spins in this feature.
Any Wild landing on the reels during this bonus game will lock in place for the rest of the game round, or until it forms a winning combo.
Wild Attack
With 2 Scatters you will trigger either the Wild Attack respin with Sticky Wilds, or the Bonus 10 spins. If the first, you can get between 1 and 3 Sticky Wilds.
When the Wild Attack is triggered, any Wild on the reels which does not form a winning combo will become a Sticky Wild.
Sticky Wild
Sticky Wild can occur during the Wild Attack and during the Bonus Game. Once it lands on the reels it will lock in place and stay sticky until it either forms a winning combo, or until the game round ends.
Summary
When we put all together, a slot with a theoretical RTP rate of 96.1%, and such an unusual theme, is definitely worth a shot. Admittedly, this is a simple game but with features that get triggered often it can get you some big wins, especially during the Free Spins feature with Sticky Wilds.
Yeti Battle of the Greenhat Peak is a 5 reel and 11 payline slot from Thunderkick game provider that I first discovered over a year ago at one of Videoslots battles. Beforehand I had heard of the game before but didn't have a memory of playing it. At the time I also wasn't a big fan for Thunderkick slots as I would never have a good experience with them. However, in the past year I've been playing their games more and found a way of liking them, and the same goes for this particular game.
The game is inspired by the Yeti theme and brings you to a snowy wonderland where you want to see Yeti symbols (highest paying ones) and carrots- scatters. The game has a minimum bet of only 10 cents and that's the bet I usually go for as I prefer to play this game with low balance. It's not a game I gravitate towards, however, it's one of my go-to games when my balance is less than 10eur and Starburst or Book of Dead isn't available.Â
There's one thing I really enjoy about this game and it's the base game feature. Whenever two carrots land anywhere on the screen, there's a wild attack. This attack will either award with 1 wild, 2 or 3 wilds or grant the bonus feature. Although for most part I get the additional wilds in a cost free respin, which I can't complain for as it can give a a 5x-20x bet win and appears quite often, but many times it has also helped me to land the bonus feature directly. Alternatively, if you get 3 carrots right away, you get 10 free spins.
There's something I enjoy about the bonus feature- it's almost like a quest and reminds me of other Thunderkick games. The spins themselves have no multiplier, however, every time you fill out the carrot meter, you get 2 additional free spins and one sticky wild. The bad part though is that the wilds are sticky only until they are in a winning combination, so in one way you could be hoping to get the wilds in bad positions until you complete the meter and have 3 extra sticky wilds to get a good win on the last spin. I have managed to fulfill the entire meter a few times and once had a win of over 100x bet, but generally speaking, wins above 50x bet can be quite difficult to achieve, unless you manage to get a good win with the top Yeti symbol.
All in all, this is quite an average game, and as far as I know, not very popular amongst players. I only like to play it when I have low balance and want to have a 100 spins or so without really any risk. I haven't had a win over 200x bet nor have I seen anyone having one so if you're looking for mega wins, this game is probably not for you.
