World of Oz is 5 reels video slot with 50 pay-lines powered by Rival software provider. The theme is Wizard of Oz and innocent, sweet little Dorothy and her dog Toto. In this slot adventure you get to help Dorothy and her friends on their journey with Free Spins, Emerald Spins bonus round and multiplied wins. The symbols involve everything from Dorothy to Wicked Witch, and you can give this slot a spin here for free or visit Rival Casinos to play for real money.
Before you join the adventure on the yellow brick road you need to adjust your bet. Coin denominations go from 0.01 to 0.25 and this can be set by clicking on +/- buttons. "Coins per Line" regulates the number of coins per line. As far as the number of lines goes, you can set them by either clicking on "Select Lines" or by clicking on the up/down arrows that are located on the side of the reels. "Bet Max" sets the maximum bet, and "Spin" will set the reels in motion. "Auto" option is available only when you play for real money and it serves to turn the reels without interruption for a chosen number of times.
This video slot is rife with action and interesting features that get triggered as the story unfolds. You will encounter Drop Icons, Free Spins bonus round, Emerald Spins Super round and Multiplied Wild symbols.
This slot contains a unique Drop Icons feature where icons in shape of the Lion, Scarecrow and Tin Man are being dropped. Once they create a winning combo they disappear and the symbols from above them drop into their place.
The Wild symbol in the game is the Wicked Witch. This symbol can substitute for all other symbols except for the Scatter. But besides the role of the Wild, this symbol is also a multiplier. When it forms a winning combo your win will be multiplied by 5. In the Emerald Spins Super round the multiplier on this particular symbol increases to x10.
The Scatter symbol is the mighty Oz himself, and this symbol triggers the Emerald Free Spins, and the World of Oz Super Round.
Should you hit a minimum of three scatters anywhere on the reels you will activate a bonus round and you will be awarded with 12 Free Spins. During Free Spins feature you can trigger Emerald Spins feature which will happen each time you land another 3 scatters. If it does happen you will be awarded with additional 7 spins.

World Of Oz is another relatively new game that was released at about the same time with Tycoon Towers and a few others about 2 years or so ago. Once again, it plays with 50 paylines, which I don't like at all, and with graphics that do not show any progress have been made over the years. The overall presentation of the game looks very dated, and could have come from a decade ago, which it isn't. Rival game designers have not improved much at all over these long years, for one reason or another, thereby keeping this software more or less stagnant in terms of popularity and status in ranking. Isn't this 21st century more than time enough for a big new change, Rival?! Wake up! Wake up!
The ugly looking Witch, unlike those beautiful sexy witches of some games, is the Wild symbol, but a dumb Wild symbol, because it doesn't pay anything for itself, it doesn't become stacked or expanded, but it substitutes for other symbols except the Scatter symbol, and multiplies all wins by 5x in the base game and in the Free Spins game too, but pays 10x in the second-level Emerald Free Spins game. Still makes it a dumb symbol in my books. The Bald-headed man is the Scatter symbol, paying a very low 25x the total bet for getting 5 of them, and getting 3 or more of these Scatters trigger 12 free spins without any multiplier. Typical of Rival's free spins offering in having no multiplier. During the free spins, getting 3 or more of the Scatters award 7 Emerald Free Spins with the Wilds paying 10x for all wins. This Emerald game can be retriggered, but not the initial Free Spins game. Ah well, better than nothing at all.
As for the other symbols, the Girl pays 750x, the Shoes pay 250x, the Lady pays 200x, and the rest pay from 160x to 60x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind. In the Free Spins game, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Lion, are the 'drop' symbols, each paying 300x the line bet for 5 of them. Any winning combination with these 'drop' symbols activate the drop feature, or better known as the Rolling Reels feature, but affecting only the drop symbols in the winning combination. Other symbols do not drop down.
Well, honestly speaking, the Emerald Free Spins are the best feature of the game, but only if they could always pay well and never zero. Yes, it is possible to end up with a zero win after completing the 7 Emerald Free spins, and that can be very disappointing indeed. The initial 12 free spins are hardly any better, but are usually even worse paying than the Emerald free spins. I've had a number of these Free Spins games so far, but all the payouts were between 0x up to 14x my bet amount, which were all totally disappointingly low. Only in the base game did I get wins of up to 25x, but nothing more than this. Well, a poor paytable with poor payouts is all I can say for this World Of Oz game.
