I found many video slots that do have some sort of trilogy or story and RTG had this sequel slot that made the slot more delightsome to play! I take pleasure in playing the slots of Santa vs Roudolph and the other two slots when it was released before but I have the different experience from them like losing and winning the bankrolls from the high pay lines and high betting size of slots. Truthfully, those slots were great playing and you will not realize you’re losing until your bankroll goes down. I preferably used the auto spin feature for the fast feature guarantee free spin.

The most notable of them all was this slot Elf Wars, I have the best experience from this slot and this was when I won the first ever 50 free spin that was from Roudolph rampage and this feature granted and this not ends with the 50 free spins! The rampage feature added another extra spin when I got the different color gift box the total wins that I remember was $2100+ with the multipliers! The betting size that I played was $2.50 and this was good for the jackpot of Elf Wars.

The jackpot wheel works when the bonus round activates with the good elves scatters. There were 3 tries when the jackpot wheel shows but I didn’t always mind it because it was hard to trigger that jackpot spins I already have 30 times of it and nothing except winning 50x-100x of my bet better than nothing.

Guarantee feature was great but not helpful as always when I will have the last batch of spins for the guarantee feature I constantly got the free spins and always the good elves. I win more when I manually trigger the free spin rather than I will get the guarantee feature I’m not sure if this is reasonable or not.

I’m wondering why Real Time Gaming has to put out 4 variants of the same game! This Elf Wars is basically sharing the same theme as Santa Strikes Back, Return of Rudolph and Rudolph’s Revenge. They even share the same feature games. Nonetheless, The Elf Wars is a later addition to RTG’s stable of games, so the graphics are very nicely presented, it has a nice ‘Jingle Bell’ tune, although I think the alphabet icons are overdone and look a little confusing and non distinctive. Anyway, they’re still nice, so no star down/up.

Good in one area, lacking in another. Sigh. The paytable isn’t that good at all. The two Wild symbols, Santa and Rudolph, pay 2000 x the line bet for 5 of them, while the two Scatter symbols, the Good Elves and the Bad Elves, pay only 100 x for 5 of them each. No doubt the chances of getting 5 Wilds or 5 Scatters has been doubled, but that doesn’t equate to a better payout of 4000 x the line bet if only 1 Wild symbol is being used. The splitting actually dilutes the payout amount by half. Not so good. 1 star down.

Game feature wise, there’s a good selection or variants of feature games available, 4 different games to be precise. These are Santa Strikes Back, Jackpot Spins Good, Rudolph’s Revenge and Rudolph’s Rampage Feature games. Each game plays and pays differently, giving a taste of 4 different free games within 1 base game. This should satisfy players demand for varying feature games. Very nice! No star down/up.

I don’t really know which of the four feature games I liked most. Santa Strikes Back Feature game was pretty good when I got it, getting respins after respins with each 5 Candle symbols collected at the top of the reels. The payouts were pretty good too, ranging from 40 x to 60 x my total bet amount. The Jackpot Spins Good Feature game came only once but it paid me over 110 x my total bet amount. That was real nice, even though only once. Rudolph’s Revenge was a mixture of poor and average payouts, not really to my liking, while Rudolph’s Rampage was either quite good or quite bad, but good payouts are actually possible with the Expanding Wild feature of Rudolph the Wild symbol. Interestingly also, whenever two Elves appear on reels 1 and 2, these two reels are held while the other reels get 1 re-spin. 3 or more Elves on the reels award the Pick Feature, which awards one of the 4 Feature games mentioned. Surprisingly enough for me, while the other Santa and Rudolph games were not kind to me when I played them, The Elf Wars was the opposite. The Pick Feature came many times during my play, and getting several free feature games from it too. Every one of the 4 feature games came in turn, giving me a good opportunity to try them out and see how each feature game played and paid. Very nice indeed, and The Elf Wars is indeed amongst the top games from RTG stable, so no star down/up.

I have not had what to do and I went back into an RTG casino (All Star Slots) to look for one of the new slots announced by AskGamblers. I have not found this very new game but I remembered that for about 2 years since I have not played here, RTG has added several times some new slots. So I ended up choosing to play at “The Elf Wars” which is a somewhat new slot.

Briefly said “The Elf Wars” is an improved version of “Fruit Frenzy”. The slot brings some good parts but unfortunately the major defects characteristic to all RTG slots are kept here. As for the good parts it is worth mentioning first of all that the graphics are almost flawless. I remember that the first time I entered an RTG casino and I saw how nice designed is the “Fruit Frenzy” show, I said myself that better than this cannot be. Each symbol in "The Elf Wars"
is drawn like when it was just removed from the Santa's bag of toys. All symbols are full of bows and beautifully wrapped.

The second really good part here is that the slot is full of features. There are 2 types of Wild (Santa and Rudolph), two types of Scatter (good and bad elves) and a lot bonus games that are triggered on choosing one of scatters. It would take too long to describe here all these features, but they are indeed the most exciting and enticing. A good fact is that one of these features is guaranteed by RTG to be triggered each time after a certain number of spins played.

Like I said, on the overall the slot is a little better than “Fruit Frenzy”.

Again, the typical RTG bad parts were kept here. Especially one of them: no matter how much you play, and no matter how much you win, playing at an RTG slot you will lose after all. You can win in any one of the Features, yet you will still eventually reach zero money available. I won once even 140 Euro playing with the total bet of 1 Euro/50 paylines but the previous losses had been higher. Rarely it happens to have extra money to the original amount and even then they are not enough to meet the RTG wagering.

The second negative fact here is that the slot is too stuffed with symbols. If I counted right, there are no less than 9 minor and 4 major symbols (plus 2 types of Scatters and 2 types of Elves) -a total of 17 symbols- and the spins are very hard to follow because of this.
