Supernova is a space-themed 27-way video slot operating on the Microgaming software platform. The game possesses various space-related symbols, from Supernovas to different orbs and Black Holes, and the most vital icon is the wild symbol in the form of a Wild Orb. Players are welcome to test the slot on this page free of charge or play the game for real money in any of the Microgaming casinos found in the listings.
In order to be launched into space and begin drifting through the dazzling universe, one should first settle on their preferred bet. Pressing the “Total Bet” button allows players to choose their total bet amount, which ranges from 0.25 to 50. Clicking “Spin” initiates the game at the selected bet and “Autoplay” lets players spin the reels multiple times without being interrupted.
Any win on reels 1, 2 and 3 trigger the Bonus Multiplier Feature on reels 4 and 5. In the Multiplier Feature, all wins on reels 1, 2 and 3 are multiplied by the multiplier awarded. If a multiplier is displayed in the middle position on reel 4, players win the multiplier value. Should a multiplier value emerge on the middle position on reels 4 and 5, the multiplier values will be added. The Black Hole symbol does now award a multiplier value.

Well, I've never been a fan of any 3-reels 3-rows game, and I've always avoided playing them, unless I get some free spins to play on them. But for this Supernova game from Quickspin, it becomes an exception, but maybe because it still has 5 reels actually - 3 reels for the symbols and 2 reels for the win multipliers. I would say it's a unique concept and design from Quickspin, because I haven't seen or come across any other game like it. After a few plays on the game, it proved to be interesting enough for regular playing, but without any big win potentials unfortunately. Ah well, you cannot expect to get a lot from 3 reelers game anyway.
The game's play area is divided into 2 separate sections. Reels 1, 2 and 3 consists of the symbols in play, whilst reels 4 and 5 consists of win multipliers of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x, and Worm Holes that would end the multiplier spinning feature. Whenever you get any 3 same symbols on reels 1, 2 and 3, reels 4 and 5 would spin. Whatever symbol stops in the middle row counts, be it a multiplier or a Worm Hole. Getting multipliers on both reels multiply themselves for a bigger win. The maximum possible is 10x and 10x, for a 100x win. Getting a Worm Hole on reel 4 pays nothing, even if you get a 10x multiplier on reel 5!
That is basically how Supernova plays and pays. It's a very straightforward and simple game, with nothing to get confused about, not like some games with lots of reels and lots of rows. The paytable is also a very simple one to understand - the Orange Star pays the highest, 50 credits at the minimum 0.25 bet size, whilst the other symbols pay either 15 credits or 3 credits for each 3 of them. Increasing the bet size would increase the number of winning credits accordingly. Free Spins game? Ah, you need to play some other 5-reels game, because this 3-reelers game doesn't have any free spins feature! Hehehe.
Yes, I do quite like playing Supernova, but my few plays on it haven't got me any nice good win from it, except for a lowly 72x total bet win with a 10x multiplier. Nope, couldn't get those Orange Stars symbols either - they don't come easily, like you don't already know! Hahaha.
