Golden Glove is a real American slot as it deals with their national sport Baseball. On our continent this kind of sport is not so popular and maybe in addition to the huge sports fans not many people know anything about it so it’s very interesting to play a video slot game like this and maybe some strange looking features and side game can be explained by this sport’s rules and specifics. Anyway, we get here the well-known RTG design and appearance but the graphics are not too attractive as well the ball, hat, hot dog, popcorn icons and in my opinion the character symbols are almost ugly and have very rudimentary illustrations. It’s definitely not the best what RTG would be able to create and for me it’s a little bit surprise how they could release a slot game with such poor visualization quality.

At this 20-payline slot we can find some strange but very usable features which is not commonly used, like the Wild has the ability to substitutes for even Scatter and because the Wild which is appear only on the middle reel can double wins so the best we can win by the best 5 of a kind win (with Wild) is 5000 coins and it also can do that with Scatter wins which in normal condition can be up to 100 times of total bet but a win like this with Wild is worth 200 times of bet. If I mentioned Scatter, it must be mentioned even if the symbols are paying in traditional ways from left to right but the Scatter has the ability to reward us even from right to left direction.

This previously mentioned two special qualities of Wild and Scatter whole can be very useful for triggering free spins as we need to have at least 3 Scatters on an active payline (starting from the first or fifth reel and for example 2 Glove symbols and 1 Wild combination is good for us) to activate 9 free games (Home Run feature) which can be a multi-level bonus session if during the free spins H, I, T letters can be shown up on the three inner reels at the same spin when base hits are awarded and when circuit is completed by runner 1 spin is awarded in the Grand Slam bonus feature. During Home Run feature all wins are doubled and in Grand Slam session the good lines are worth 5 times more.

Maybe it sound a little complicated but by playing the game the feature and its working system quickly becomes obvious and that’s the part of the game when knowing the rules of baseball may help to understand it but if someone absolutely has no clue about it, it’s not a big problem because the game is automatically played and all we have to do there is to hope for good combinations and witness how the balance is increasing.

I suppose players from US like this game but personally I’m not a favorite of this product and it’s absolutely not because of its theme. To be honest I can’t find here anything that would have the ability to make me satisfied and I think it’s very obvious this fact really determine my relationships to the game. I don’t really like how the game looks like (again not because of the baseball theme much more of the illustration scheme) and unfortunately the game segment is not much better if it’s better at all. Somehow, the best part of RTG games, the free spins session can’t be here so impressive as at other slots and that’s why the initial hoped profits most of the times really remains just a wish. Generally, it also can be said that this slot is not among the good rewarding products as the better paying combinations very hard to come during base game and sadly Golden Glove is also not a too interesting game and some of my sessions turned into monotony and dull. I think it’s no surprise because all of the mentioned reasons that I haven’t got a good opinion about this slot and in my opinion this is not a good game and it’s not really worth to play with.

Okay, here’s yet another Baseball game in hand. The World Cup fever is now over, so let’s get some baseball fever for a change. After loading up Golden Glove, and after looking at the game, nah, I don’t think a fever is going to come on! Nothing outstanding, nothing interesting, nothing beautiful. Graphics wise of course. 1 star down.

Anything interesting in the paytable? Nah too! The Batter, the Wild symbol, doesn’t pay anything for himself, and doesn’t double or triple any wins. He only substitutes all symbols to create a win, that’s all. What a waste. The Golden Glove is the Scatter symbol, is also half-hearted valued at 100 x total bet for 5 of them, and this goes for all the other symbols too. Poor overall paytable I would say. 2 stars down.

The feature game in Golden Glove is in two parts. The first part is the 9 free spins game, awarded by the appearance of 3 Golden Glove symbols either left-to-right or right-to-left on the reels. Whenever the letters H, I and T appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, a collective feature is activated for the second part of the game, The Grand Slam Feature game. Wins are doubled in the 9 free spins game but are 5 x for the Grand Slam free spins. Still not good enough, so 1 star down.

Why can’t the Wild symbol do much more than just appearing on reel 3? How can players expect to get any big payouts from such appearances? Yes, no doubt the Wild symbol substitutes all other symbols to create wins, but this is only one small aspect of creating wins. It doesn’t expand to cover the full reel, neither does it come in stacks. Only singularly. That’s no good at all. Okay, the free spins are slightly easier to get, because the scatter symbols count both ways, but only 9 free spins are awarded. Getting the H-I-Ts during the free spins award a few more Grand Slam free spins with a 5 x win multiplier. Sounds good? Not really, because the reels hardly pay anything big, even with the 5 x win multiplier! The best that I got from the many free spins games was only about 55 x my total bet, which was a total disappointment for me. Comparing this Golden Glove with another of RTG’s baseball game, Field of Green, it falls short in terms of good payouts, exciting game play as well as for entertainment value. Golden Glove didn’t thrilled me at all. 2 stars down.
