East Coast West Coast is a game from Nolimit City that was released sometime last year. I was quite interested in trying this game out as at the time Nolimit City was one of my favorite game providers. Therefore, I was curious to see what they've come up with next.

The game itself has quite a fun design and is inspired by rap theme. In the game you see different symbols, including posh dogs, a boom box amongst others. Visually this game is quite pleasing and a nice change from their usual dark slots. The game has 675 ways to win and the bets go as low as 20 cents. 

Speaking of bonus features, the game has a base game feature and a bonus round. In the base game, whenever you land 2 bonus symbols, you'll get a free respin and you can get one of the many features the game has, such as linked reels, multipliers, nudge wild and others. I have to say, the fact that there's a respin on base game is probably one of the only things I like about the base game. I've had a few small hits due to the respin feature and my favorite one is the infectious feature, which turns other symbols into matching ones and increases the ways to win. But for the most part, the base game wins are very low and it's easy to lose 50 eur in this game with minimum stakes and without any big wins.
Then there's also a bonus round.

For 3 scatters you get 8 free spins but for 5 scatters you get 12 free spins. Then you have the option to choose between two features- one is higher volatility one and the other one is a bit less volatile. I usually go with the East Coast spins which are marketed as the high volatility ones. Then on every spin on the upper reels you can get reels with activated features- such as infectious symbols, linked reels and others, similar as in the base game re-spin feature. And if you land a bonus symbol, you will get 2 additional free spins and then more reels can get the special features. For 8 free spins up to 3 reels can get features so you'll want more bonus symbols to land for more possible features. But in my case only a few times I've landed 1 extra symbol, usually I only get the 8 free spins.

 I like the features in general but in reality, most of the time i get no wins or small wins from the free spins. Even when the features are active, for the most part they don't create a winning combination. And sometimes you'll get an animation after a non-winning spin, which I don't find to be an enjoyable thing. Celebratory animations after a win are nice but an animation that inclines you didn't win - I don't find that necessary.

Overall, I am not a fan of this game due to the simple reason- I can't seem to ever get good winnings on it. Every session I've played this game, I've ended up losing. And while the bonus round in theory has good winning potential, my best win so far has been 150x and it happened only once. This game is really volatile and can eat up your balance without any decent wins. Therefore, I don't plan to play this game in the future.

We all know when Nolimit City started out their best release was Punk Rocker at a time. This slot provided decent wins, even though not 50 000x, but a couple of x100 or even 2000x was then enough for any player before the industry became a standard of x10 000 or more was the best.

Landing 3 scatters triggers the free spins feature, you can either choose east coast or west coast free spins, however, if you land 5 scatters you get both the east coast and west coast feature with 12 spins. Now, this is the best feature but hard to trigger naturally so you have to buy it for over 400x.

This game is highly volatile the normal free spins hardly pay, so the super feature is the best. Either way, try your luck, think of this game as deadwood whenever you play bonus features.
