Ignored definite closure request and encouraged further gambling
On 1 June 2025, I requested permanent self exclusion from Magius because I had lost control over my spending. Magius replied that I needed to confirm my decision.
Despite this request, on 16 June 2025 I received a VIP welcome email offering promotional benefits, including cashback and a PLN 300 bonus.
On 7 November 2025, after further correspondence and another request to close my account due to excessive losses and lack of control, Magius confirmed in writing that my account had been closed.
However, on 21 January 2026, I received another VIP promotional email encouraging me to deposit money to unlock cashback and bonuses.
On 30 January 2026, I contacted Magius again to request urgent account closure and explicitly stated that I was a compulsive gambler and could not control my gambling. On 31 January, Magius again confirmed that my account had been closed.
On 6 April 2026, I had to contact the casino once more, explaining that I was unwell and had problems controlling my gambling. After further correspondence, Magius confirmed closure on 8 April 2026.
According to the transaction history in the attached Excel file, deposits made after my first self exclusion request on 1 June 2025 total PLN 36,632, excluding deposits made earlier that day. The transaction history also records a withdrawal of PLN 3,000.
I believe the repeated closure requests, continued promotional communications and recorded deposits raise serious concerns about how Magius handled my self exclusion requests and gambling related disclosures.
I ask AskGamblers to review the attached correspondence and transaction history, investigate the casino's handling of my requests, and help me obtain a fair resolution. I request that Magius provide a complete account history and explain why promotional offers continued after I had requested permanent self exclusion.
