Getting paid becomes mission impossible

Back in July of 2020 I requested a withdraw in the amount of $1100. The company refused to do an international wire transfer even after me sending proof the my bank does do international wire transfers. After going back and forth with this company they finally issued me a check on Aug. 27th. For the amount of $935.03. The check did not arrive for almost a month. I took the check to the bank around Sept. 22nd. My bank DID NOT refuse the check but the said they would send the check off to collect the money and as soon as it was cleared thru the Bank of Montreal then it would be deposited into my account. The check has been at the Bank of Montreal for almost two months now and still hasn't been cleared. I've been fighting to get this money for over four months now and would like to get this issue resolved. Dreams casino has stopped responding to my emails and I feel I have no other options then to file major complaints against them.

The company has not responded my last 3 or 4 emails and I can't seem to get any answers from anyone .

I went to their website to find out who the regulator that licenced your casino or the name of the gambling commission that oversees the site. And I found the CDS dispute form. So I filled it out and tried to submit it but I get an internal server error that says "There is a problem with the resource you are looking for and cannot be displayed".

I just don't know what to do about this.

Hi Dana--

When you receive the letter, you can either scan it or take a photo of it using your smartphone. Use the same email address which you used to contact me, yesterday.

Regarding re-issuing of your payment, it would absolutely need to be done via wire. There is one concern, however, as I believe you are using Bank of the West. Unfortunately, our processor cannot issue payment to this particular bank, so you would need to have another bank account, elsewhere. If you need to open a new account, please contact me beforehand so I can give you the best banking options in your area.

Thanks,

Tawni

I'm sorry. I'm just so frustrated with all of this. It has been on going for months now. All's I know is what the people at my bank tells me. They said after I deposited it they send it to their main center which then sends it to the Bank of Montreal where it's been for weeks. Yesterday I was told that the bank of Montreal couldn't make contact with the people who issued the check so they was sending it back. My bank manager said as soon as they receive the check back he would write me the letter I requested but it could take a few days. So as soon as I get the letter I will get it to you. But how do I get the letter to you? And once you get the letter and re-issue payment can you just do a wire transfer?

Hi Dana--

I understand your frustration and I sincerely want to help you. I've explained what is required going forward, but instead you are making threats.

Further, what you are stating makes little sense. Banking is done electronically, which means your bank is physically holding the check--it has not been sent anywhere.

This is genuinely a very simple issue to resolve if you will simply provide the letter from your bank manager (as I've described in my previous reply). If you are unable/unwilling to do so, we will issue the stop payment on the check, but the $250 fee will be removed in your re-issued payment.

This is up to you at this point. As I've said, I do want to help, but making threats is really counter-productive.
