West casino is one of the latest casinos I joined and it was mainly for their welcome bonus. Originally I was very excited to claim the Askgamblers exclusive welcome offer however after I had registered and tried to make a deposit using Askgamblers exclusive bonus code, I received an error message that the code was invalid. After a quick chat I was told that Malta wasn't eligible for this bonus, there was no explanation whatsoever and I was told- yes you can play here, you can take the regular welcome offer but that's it.
Since I had 20eur skrill balance and I wanted to have some playtime, I decided to make a deposit and use their regular welcome offer which I thought at first would be really good. But let me tell you a story. About a week ago before I signed up, I had a quick chat with support and I asked them about the bonus wagering. I was told it was 35x bonus amount which is clearly an irresistible offer. So what happened?
I made a deposit and claimed the welcome bonus that gave me a 100% match as well as 100 free spins on Guns n Roses slot. I played the free spins to boost my balance and won 21eur from them. So I had 61eur balance and I went to play Twin Spin, hoping to boost my balance. A couple of spins in, I managed to get a full screen of Queens and my balance was at 159eur. I decided to double check what's going on with my wagering so I went to cashier. I have to admit the cashier isn't too user-friendly and I could only see my wagering when I clicked on Withdrawal option. And then I was shocked.. My wagering was well over 3,000$! So then it was very clear that the wagering wasn't 35x bonus amount as I was told before by one of the agents. And now looking back at it, it wasn't even 35x deposit+ bonus as that would give me around 2k wager...I knew there was something wrong.
So then I went to talk to customer support to see what could be done about it. I was speaking to an Account Manager in fact and at first he said that the wagering was 35x the whole amount and that the bonus couldn't be cancelled and that basically there was nothing that could be done. Then I asked them to double check the chat I had had before with their agents where they clearly misinformed me. I was surprised that the Account Manager told me that he checked the conversation and that I was correct. Then he manually cancelled the bonus due to the misinformation I had received. Afterwards I played with my 109 euros for a few hours, I kept playing Twin Spin and although my balance was going up and down, eventually I lost.
I have to say, although the situation was unpleasant, the Account Manager was very helpful and fixed my issue. However, I wouldn't recommend this bonus itself as the wagering is very high and it's not possible to cancel the bonus yourself.
