There is something with slots that use the ancient Egypt as their main theme, somehow they are always attractive to me and to other gamblers I think. This is a very powerful slot and since I have played it many times I have to say that the outcome is always different. There were times when I was winning a lot and there were times when I was losing all.

Wild Mummy is a 5 reels and 20 pay lines video slot game. The last time I played this game I had a great time. I did not win any head spinning sum but still the game play was nicely balanced. The wild symbol was in almost every winning combination so it doubled almost every win. This is the highest paying symbol at the same time, since landing 5 on an active pay line can bring you a win of 5000 x bet.

During my session I was landing some good symbols and I was always getting a win that was around 5 x bet. This was not only maintaining my balance but it was slowly improving it. I also managed to trigger the free spins on couple of occasions too. To activate the free spins you need the Pyramid scatter symbol and I got 3 as soon as I started playing. This feature is interesting too, because you need to choose torches to reveal the number of free spins and hieroglyphs to reveal the multiplier. No matter the multiplier or the number of free spins, both times I won something around 90 x bet.

When I was offered some free spins on Wild Mummy at a casino I happily took it and knowing that I’ve never played with it before I expected some fun. Concluding from its name I waited a great Egyptian themed game and being someone who very likes the historic like slots my excitement just increased.

Unfortunately, this game not just didn’t live up my expectations but became a real disappointment. The Egyptian style was well-guessed and the known symbols were all there like pharaoh, pyramid, animals but I wasn’t too satisfied how they looked like. In my opinion it has just poor graphics. Nothing pretty or artistic in them and I felt like this whole game would have been created in an afternoon just to creators could show up something at the deadline.

The game contains 21 paylines on 5 reels and only has just free spin extra feature. We have to choose 1 torch on the wall at the entrance of a pyramid to decide the number of spins and 1 pictogram for multiplier determination. The spins are always between 4 and 7 and the multiplier can be no less than 3 and no more than 6. Under the free spins the frame of the little playing screen starts to flash so do the info bar that inform the player about the feature conditions but playing with it for long time and having free spins many times this vibration could be nerv-racking. The Mummy wild just doubled the winnings no matter how many of them are on the active lines, but 5 of them is the Jackpot that is x5000 of 1 coin.

After the given spins quickly gone I decided to go on and play further. I played with €1.20 total bet but never had a return more than €16 in the normal game. I was almost at the edge to give up when got the bonus and chose myself 6 spins at x5. Three bonus icons triggered it again under this sequence giving 7 more spins without bet so at the end I could collect almost €50. It didn’t cover my losses but was good enough to make something with it somewhere else.

Sorry to say that but for me it is a poor game, with questionable visual appearance and not too good payouts. There are much better Amaya products out there so I think my time with Wild Mummy is over.
