Game provider, Lady Luck Games, is probably one of the newest providers around because I’ve never heard of it, nor played any of their games, that is until I started getting free spins on one of their games, namely Spin Of Joy. After browsing through some of their other games, I then decided to give Valholl Hall Of The Slain game a try out, and boy, was I amazed when I looked into the game’s paytable!
Valholl is a 6 reels 4 rows 30 lines game, with a starting bet of 30 cents. With 30 cents per spin, I could be playing on a 243 ways to win game instead, or even on a Megaways game, but for a 30 lines game, it is way too much and out of the norm! Next big surprise came when I peeked into its pay table, and I simply couldn’t believe my eyes – all the win values of the symbols are at seabed bottom, paying from a mere 1.6x down to just 0.2x the bet amount, even lower than what Megaways games would usually use! What were the game designers thinking of when they set such extremely low win values for the symbols? Not only that, the Wild symbols are also non-paying, and do not double the wins either. This is probably THE WORST AND THE LOWEST win values I have ever come across in all my years of playing slots!
There are no Bonus or Scatter symbols in the game, but there is a pair of Hammers appearing on the topmost row, awarding 3 different feature games whenever they land in 3 different positions. When appearing 2 Hammers together, an Expanded Wild Reel appears on the reel below the 2 Hammers, and 2 free Respins would be given, with each Respin awarding 2 Extra Wild symbols on each side of that Expanded Wild Reel, for a total of 1 Wild Reel + 8 Extra Wilds on the sides.
When the 2 Hammers appear on adjacent positions, a Merged Symbol of 2x2 size would appear on the 2 reels below the Hammers. When appearing on reel 1 and 6, 10 free spins would be awarded, but without any win multiplier, and cannot be retriggered either.
However, the 4 center reels would have 5 rows instead of 4, and 4x1 symbols may also come into play on any of the reels.
I haven’t come across such feature games before, so these are rather unique to this game. The only setback is the lack of good winning potentials, even with that Expanded Wild Reel and the 8 Extra Wilds on the sides, simply because the win values of the symbols are all ridiculously low, and there are no multipliers to boost up the wins either.
I think the maximum possible win on this game is probably around 150x – 200x only, which is definitely not going to excite big-win hunters! My best win on this game is only a 59x win, and that too was during its good mood of play.
