Imperial Opera is a video slot powered by Play’n GO software with 20 pay-lines and 5 reels. This slot is inspired with the show that Opera can put on for its viewers. The reels are set against the red background and right on stage. Amazing design that is bringing traditional Asian culture together with modernistic views of today. You can spin the reels here for fun or visit Play’n GO Casinos to play for real.
Before you take a seat at this opera house, you are advised to adjust your bets. By clicking on numbers on the "Quick Betting Panel" you can set your bets which range from 0.20 to 100. "Spin" button is used to set the reels in motion, and "Auto Play" option will turn the reels automatically without interruption for a chosen number of times.
The Princess is the Wild symbol and it can make wining combos both on its own and when it substitutes in a win. When substituting in a win it can swap out for all symbols in the game except for the Scatter.
Harmony feature is randomly triggered, and once it gets triggered between 2 and 3 randomly chosen, adjacent reels will synchronize to display the same symbols. Crescendo feature is also randomly triggered, and once it gets triggered either 1 or 2 reels will get randomly chosen to become fully Wild. Neither of these two features can get activated during the Free Spins feature.
In Showcase feature on each spin a stack of one randomly chosen symbol will be added to the reels. This applies to all the symbols except for the Scatter.
All character symbols have the possibility of showing off their might by being shown as Mega Symbols on the reels during features.
If you land a 3x3 Free Spins Gong symbol, which is the Scatter, on the reels during the Harmony feature when 3 adjacent reels are showing the same symbol, you will trigger the bonus spins. Landing this symbol fully on Harmony reels will trigger initial 10 spins.
During Free Spins bonus reels 2, 3 and 4 will always be in sync for the duration of the feature, with the Showcase feature still being active. Retrigger the feature by landing the Scatter on the middle 3 reels.

There are so many Asian/Oriental themed games available for play nowadays, from various game providers, yet strangely enough, not one of them could really catch my interest - not that the graphics are not nice, but due to their very low payouts generally. All the symbols would show very low to extremely low win values, making getting any decent wins extremely difficult, but unfortunately, that's the current trend nowadays, and I simply hate that!
This Imperial Opera game from PlaynGo also has a very low paytable - the top symbol, the Wild, pays only 25x the total bet for getting 5 of them, the next highest symbol drops down to just 6.25x, whilst the lowest symbol pays only 1.25x. In spite of all these very low values, the maximum possible win is stated as 2500x the total bet, which is actually good by today's standards, but expect it to be extremely hard to come by!
Honestly speaking, Imperial Opera offers several nice features, more like a collection of several games combined into one. It has Synced Reels, Wild Reels, Stacked Symbols, and including 3x3 Mega Symbols too, so the game should play very interestingly, right? Yes and no! Yes, it should, but no, it doesn't, simply because the 4 mentioned features hardly ever produced interesting wins at all! Most of the time, they actually sucks! Got the synced reels, no win. Got 2 Wild Reels, also no win. Got the Mega symbol, still no win. On top of that, the Free Spins games tend to pay miserably too - what the argh! But of course, a few of you would get those nice wins, no doubt, but most others simply won't!
This Imperial Opera game may have good features, but the paytable spoils it all! Whatever wins the game would give, were mostly measly and miserable ones, which got me bored quite quickly! More of intermittent medium sized payouts would have made the gameplay better, but I guess PlaynGo guys were simply not interested to do that - they only want to reap in as much revenue as quickly as possible! Yeah, that goes with all other game providers too!
