Castle Siege is a historic, age of knights’ themed slot from a not too well-known producer and it’s always a very exciting thing to get to know other smaller developers’ works and how they think about the whole ‘create a video slot’ thing. Firstly, I have to say this is a very great visual product. The graphics of the game is fantastic and it almost focus only on the used symbols which are all captivating, well-designed and possesses real artistic values. These icons are sceptre, chalice, crown, knight helmet and supplementary card elements and they are really, really captivating icons which have great decorative motives, nice colours and even the font style of cards are very suitable to the subject of the game. I also like here the blurred dark background of reel area, the fanfares on the top of the reels and the overall noble and pleasant atmosphere what the game creates so this is obviously a very correctly made and complex appearance for a video slot so thumbs up for the creators.

This 30-line game offers lot of features and little add-ons which almost can guarantee that the playing sessions won’t be boring and they can keep us well-entertained on the other hand the payout ability of the game is not too generous which is exampled well as the most rewarding 5 of kind win is only worth 1000 times of line bet while the Shield emblem which is the Wild of the game is powerless as it just replaces other icons in winning combinations but can’t multiply them during base game but the real problem with this symbol is the appearing frequency. This is one of the less popping up function symbols that I’ve ever seen and it’s a big problem for not just one reason.

The free spin feature is a very interesting side game at this slot and it’s starting with the triggering method which is unique. I don’t really like this feature because the main purpose such kind of secondary game is to let the players to collect as many wins as possible and here the first win ends the game so basically it punishes us if we win so it’s not a player-friendly rule and to be honest I don’t see too much sense in it.

The slot’s traditional bonus game is a great one and I like to play because it takes us to a secondary screen which is graphically a nice job and there we can see a castle what we have to destroy. That many chances we have at the beginning as the number of triggering Bonus symbols was during the activating spin and every successful hit what damages the castle gives another chance to throw an item on it. If we can’t demolish the castle we can win cash prizes but it’s not possible to reach our main goal and the award for doing that is one of the 3 Local Jackpot amounts. I had successful tries when I could win the Mini Jackpot which resulted just a $40 return (the maximum what this type of Jackpot can provide is 5000 coins). After the game is completed we have to clicking on the provided tiles and find three identical ones to determine what the main prize will be for the next bonus round. Unfortunately, I haven’t collected yet any other bonus than Mini so I don’t really know what the Major and Grand Jackpot would hold for the players.

This is a really strange game for me because there are lot things here which applied by leading a good and innovative original idea but somehow the realization of them are not completed perfectly. I mean here mainly for the features and their characteristics and some of game settings. The payout ability of the game is also a questionable standpoint because I’ve experienced some not too likeable attributes and I guess there would be some rooms for the creators to upgrade them but the appearance of the game really is a fine example for how a very good looking interface should built and I believe some other more popular games could learn a lot from it and not just graphically but atmosphere creating capability, too. At the end of the day it’s a good game but in my eyes it’s not fully complete and there are some things that need to be fixed or replaced but the enjoyment what the game offers is respectable.

To me this “Castle Siege” slot was nice until the end of the first bonus game, when it got stuck and never went further to chose the next jackpot. I should tell this to the WinADay casino support, because I played here for real money.

Initially the slot ate a good part of a nice bonus of 30 USD that I received from WinADay exactly to play this slot. After the first 60 spins, I was finishing more than half of the bonus amount. And when I was left with about 1/3 of the initial bonus I entered the Bonus Game. It is hard to enter into this Bonus Game because if you win, automatically the win is one of 3 Jackpots. I managed to tear down the castle from the 3rd strike and win the mini Jackpot worth 20 USD and I ended with about the same amount that I started the game here, but now I am sitting and watching the slot, maybe it will move further than this hit castle (to chose the next possible Jackpot for the next bonus).

Anyway the slot is quite nice being loaded with symbols of royalty everywhere. In normal spins, even if you do not really enter the Bonus if you have “3 or 4 of a kind majors” the win is more than 10 Euros. However the slot generally pays less than my favorite game here “Alice in Wonderland” and for this reason I suspect that the value of the bonus offered to try Castle Siege was so big. There are also Free Spins, that I did not played them (now I am at about the spin number 150) having some Wilds that become sticky when flags above the castle are unfolded. (Though once it happened to me to have 2 of these sticky Wilds in normal spins).

Briefly said the slot is a good description of the nobility and British royalty from ancient times. Perhaps it is somewhat stingy with the wins than other games here, but also in rare cases some wins are even bigger.

The downside of this slot is that if you catch a series of losing spins, you will finish 30-50 dollars in less than 100 spins. I has stopped from playing the game first time here after such a series of losing spins and I was able to recover the amount for the game the second time I played here.
