Refused $9,500 Payment
I signed up for an account last week with Bovada. I hadn't gambled much before but after losing $1,500 in Vegas at a conference, I began to study and play games with virtual money to see how I did after realizing that there's an actual strategy to the game, not just copying the dealer and hitting on 16, standing on 17.
Long story short, I kicked ass. I deposited $1,000 which they matched with a $1,000 bonus. It was a bumpy ride, but within a few days, I had peaked at $25,000 before going down to $700 and then clawing and scratching back up to $15,000. At that point, I decided to play it safe. I requested a cash out of $9,500 via Bitcoin and logged out so that I wouldn't play until I had gotten paid. I had requested cash outs previously when I was in the $20K-$25K range and every time my balance dipped anywhere near the $10K that I had requested, they cancelled the withdrawl rather than taking the money out when I put in the request (I was hoping that I could avoid running down like I did). Anyway, I literally had my wife change the password and not give it to me so that I could cash out first before running down again.
Coincidentally, as soon as I put in a request and stopped playing, they disabled my account and said that my account was under suspicion of fraud. They sent me a list of several forms that I needed to submit along with my ID and Credit Card. They claimed that it was pure coincidence and had nothing to do with me cashing out. No one bothered to ask for this when I was down to $700.
They also disabled my wife's account which we created after seeing how well I was doing.
I have submitted the requested paperwork. If I am paid in a prompt manner without further hurdles, I will consider the matter resolved.
