For Thunderkick fans like me, the game's opening screen is easily recognisable - Fruit Warp's style of symbols appearing without reels or rows, and Esqueleto's style of win multipliers, up to 32x. Both the earlier mentioned games are quite popular, so perhaps a combination of the two might work as good too, hopefully. Well, personally to me, yes and no.

What I thought at first looked like candies, are in fact stones, precious stones, but don't look like it. They don't appear distinct enough from the background, so it caused a slight confusion for me in recognising each symbol instantly. The Wild symbol does not pay anything for itself, it does not double any wins with it, but substitutes for all symbols. There aren't any Scatter or Bonus symbols in this game, but occasionally, a Fairy may randomly appear from out of the forest and perform some magic tricks for you. All single symbols would be removed and be replaced with new symbols, to create new wins with the remaining unremoved symbols. As long as this Fairy remains present in the next spin, she will do the same thing all over again, until she disappears into the next higher win multiplier indicator. Quite interesting this. For better winning chances, this Fairy does not appear during spins with the 1x or 2x multipliers. Being a Thunderkick fan, I like playing their games, but dislike the low payouts from the games. Low and medium variance players may like this game better than high variance players. As for me, I still like Fruit Warp best, but I haven't really gone deeply into this Well Of Wonders yet. My few plays on it so far has given me a best win of 65x total bet, and I haven't really got those big stones yet, so bigger wins are indeed awaiting.

I played this game for about 15 minutes for the first time. I like the animations, graphics but there is one thing which I dislike. And this is pay outs. Getting the highest multiplier here is almost impossible, while I was playing my best multiplier was x8. Most of the time there was no winning combination on it so I rarely got anything decent from it. Most of the time I won amounts which were around my bet size.. really ridiculous. Never got any win which was bigger than x10 bet so I don't know how lucky you need to be to get some real big win here.

Otherwise the game is designed good, but the paytable is just not for me. I like to play games where I can get big, real big winnings. And I don't think this will happen here so often. “Well of Wonders” is a slot with a totally flat game system, without bonus rounds or free spins, nevertheless, the game system allows us to obtain several consecutive respins every time we get a hit; symbols that are involved in that hit are removed and then replaced and so on until we no longer get new hits; in any case, the most interesting feature of the game is that on each turn we start with 1x multiplier, and in each consecutive respin it is doubled the value of this multiplier this way: 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x and 32x.

As expected, not many times we achieve hits that are multiplied by 32x, this sometimes happens, but these are really few; however, sometimes after a non-winning spin, it appears a fairy that eliminates some symbols to give us a second chance in that turn to possibly getting a better combination, and in addition to this, the fairy lies on one of the stones marked with a greater multiplier than the current one, sometimes jumping directly to the larger multiplier that is 32x.

At first, it seemed that I was going to do very well in this slot since I got hits quite often and even the fairy appeared very often as well to help me with some of her magic; however, after a while, bad streaks became frequent and the fairy seldom appeared, and when she did, her magic was no longer so effective.

Maybe it was just my impression, but I noticed that my average of hits worsened as I was increasing my betting levels, and of course, the time came when my balance broke down and no chance of recovering since my better big win until that moment had been 48x my total bet, and no other big win of those would get me out of trouble.

Plus, getting a big win of 48x your total bet is a rarity; all my other big wins, which were not many by the way, were, at most, 22x my total bet, so I think leaving the game at that time was the best thing I could do.

Overall, I think “Well of Wonders” is a nice-looking slot and I quite appreciate its novel game system, but in the end, I think this slot has disappointed me a bit, and according to what happened today, I doubt that this really has a good winning potential.
