Being able to convert lead or some other element into gold is an idea that has captivated the imagination of the human being through the centuries, and ancient alchemists were the first to walk in this direction and for this reason is that today we all associate the word alchemy with this precious metal.
Now, which gambler does not feel totally attracted by the wealth that gold represents? Well, “Euro Games Technology — EGT” certainly knows this very well and that is why they wanted to create a video slot based on this matter to try also captivating us a little.
The name of the game is “Secrets of Alchemy” and it is a video slot made with a structure of 5 x 3 reels and provided with 25 pay lines; and despite not being a cascade type slot, it has that feature that eliminates symbols that participate in the formation of some line so that new symbols fall to try to get new hits.
Prices of the paytable in this slot are not particularly good, but I think in “Secrets of Alchemy” slot is even worse the machine's ability to create long losing streaks, those capable of suffocating your balance and try your patience.
I remember well that at the beginning of my session it did not seem so difficult to form lines up to 5 of a kind with all kinds of symbols, high and low symbols, after a while, the machine simply closed the tap.
In addition, throughout my session, I could never get the 3 scatters needed to trigger the free spins round, and although the game is also configured to randomly activate this feature during any spin without scatters, this never happened either. The absence of the free spin round only worsened an already complicated situation.
I think in the end I ended up quite disappointed with this game; it seems like a type of trap designed to attract you with small concessions and then catch you and never let go until you are completely lost; fortunately EGT has other slots within its portfolio that certainly can be more generous than “Secrets of Alchemy.”
