Yep, I do know for sure that Hong Kong has got lots of tall towers and skyscrapers, but having wheels on top of the buildings? Nosirree! That can only happen in games such as this one from Elk Studios, but I'd be really surprised if such wheels on buildings are for real! Well, that's probably just for gimmick's sake, to make the game look more interesting and attract players to try it out. Yes, I tried it out too, but it wasn't because of the wheels on the buildings. I tried the game out just for trying it out sake. In it to try it, and nothing more, hehehe.
This is one of the rare games that play with 99 paylines. I can only recall Jack Hammer 2's game that plays with the same 99 paylines. Why 99? Beats me! I'll never know. Not that it matters anyway. Can it pay me $99 for my $0.50 bet? Ah! That matters a lot! Hehehe. One thing I have to say about Elk Studios games - I can never start up any of their games whenever my internet connection speed is slow, and this is one big deterrent for me! Other provider's games, like Microgaming, NetEnt, BetSoft and so on, can still be started up, albeit taking a very long time in doing so, but Elk Studios games would just pop up an error message and request for a reload, even after a million reloads! Ridiculous!
Anyway, in this Hong Kong Tower game, there is no Wild symbol at all! Argh! The logo, 'Hong Kong Tower', is the Mystery symbol, turning into another random symbol with any winning combination, and pays for 5 symbols, even if the winning combination consists of only 3 symbols. First time I'm seeing this! Can be good if the symbol values are good, otherwise, it won't make much difference at all, since there aren't any Wild symbols or Scatter symbols to give extra winnings. The only other special symbol available in the game is the Bonus symbol, a dumb symbol for not paying anything for itself, but getting 3 or more of them triggers the Bonus game. 3 Bonus symbols award only the Bonus game, 4 Bonus symbols award the Bonus game + 1 Extra Life, and 5 Bonus symbols award the Bonus game + 2 Extra Lives. This Bonus game cannot be retriggered. Argh! As for the other regular symbols, the '7' pays 1500x, the Diamond pays 1000x, the Flower pays 500x, the Plant pays 200x, and all the rest pay 80x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. The paytable? A very low one!
So how does the Bonus game plays? You start the game with the first Wheel of the 3. The Wheel has coins wins and a 'Level Up' symbol. Get this symbol to move to the next Wheel. Each coins win empties that space. If the pointer stops on an empty space, the bonus game ends. Keep playing until all the Lives have been used up. As simple as that, and probably as boring too! The first few times playing this Wheel game may be okay, but after many times, you feel like kicking the Wheel off the building! Hahaha. What is interesting, however, is that the paytable indicates a maximum possible win of 301,050 coins, which worked out to be 3010x the total bet amount! Is this for real? Who knows, but not by the looks of the paytable if you ask me, so it has to seen first to be believed!
No Free Spins game simply means I don't like it, with or without that Bonus game! The wins from those Wheels aren't interesting at all and the game becomes a bore after many times at it. Well, it certainly wouldn't be a bore if you keep getting the 'Level Up' icon and end up playing on the third Wheel, for much bigger prizes, but this more of a daydream. Not to say impossible to get it, but very hard to get it. Get it? Good! Not for me though, because I didn't get to that third Wheel at all, and the wins that I got weren't big but only small. Argh!
