Glitz is another video slot powered by Williams Interactive. This game can be found at tons of casinos that make use of the WMS gaming portfolio. Like the name suggests the theme is based on several gems and jewels.

The logical result is that the symbols consist of them as well. The slot format is simple with 5-reels and 60-paylines. The first 2 reels have two rows while the remaining 3 reels have four rows. Glitz is a game I had a lot of success on.

Sometimes a simple format is all a player requires. The nice thing about Glitz is that it contains stacked wilds. And if that’s the case it usually means I’m game! The wilds appeared on the reels quite often to my surprise. Another fact that left a positive impression is that the minimum bet is only 30 cents while you would expect it to be double of that considering the 60-paylines you have at your disposal.

My best win during base game was 30 euros on minimum bet. The best paying symbol (5oak wilds or Logo) pays 2 euros on minimum bet. So basically the best possible win per spin is 120 euros (400x bet) when you get a full screen of wilds. Although that doesn’t seem much, this game does seem rather generous.

There is also a free spins feature which can be triggered in three different ways. One of them is with dollar coin scatter symbols on reels 3, 4 and 5. You need all three to trigger the feature. You then have to pick a jewel from like 11 boxes. This jewel will then be placed on reels 1 and 2 which means you only have to worry about the remaining reels and basically hope the stacked wild symbols come in.

The other way to trigger it is by getting 4 of the same symbols on reels 1 & 2 even if it includes wilds. The third way I do not understand though despite reading the help file multiple times. I only managed to trigger it with the coins anyway.

I got awarded 5 free spins which is rather low. Nevertheless, I still managed one huge hit of 250x bet on my last free spin once. So I’m definitely content with my experiences on this game and should be giving it another try sooner or later.

It’s really frustrating if you get reels 3, 4 and 5 completely wild while reels 1 & 2 don’t match. I had this happen a couple times now. Too bad no consolation prize gets offered here. Some WMS games do offer that but only during features. I would have also liked to see a multiplier being present.
