Stake in an online sportsbook and casino offering players plenty of cryptocurrency options. Like with a lot of the newer online platforms, Stake has a slick and crisp-looking website fit for the 21st century. In our Stake review, we discovered they operate their website in 16 different languages and enable users to seamlessly switch between the sportsbook and casino, making them an ideal platform for multi-format players.

General Information and Safety Details about Stake

Stake.com is operated by Medium Rare N.V. The company is incorporated and licensed in Curacao. The sportsbook is available in Brazil via its .br domain.

Founded in 2017, Stake used the gap in the cryptocurrency marketplace to quickly become one of the biggest players on the world stage. Already, it has established brand relationships with Everton Football Club and the UFC, and they are the exclusive title partner of the Kick Sauber Formula 1 team.

Other brand relationships include Canadian rapper Drake, showing their intention to become the ideal betting platform for the next generation of online gamers.

Stake is committed to the Provably Fair policy. We like this in betting sites, and it appears to be becoming a must-have tool for any new operator trying to establish itself in the online marketplace. Our Stake sportsbook review has more information about the betting platform, so read on to see if they are the right choice for you.

Stake Payments and Withdrawals

Stake is primarily a cryptocurrency betting platform. But to cater for players who aren’t familiar with crypto, they make it easy to fund your Stake account by purchasing crypto through the Moonpay platform, where you can easily buy crypto using your credit or debit cards.

Accepted cryptocurrencies are Litecoin, Bitcoin, Ethereum, TRON, Ripple, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Tron, EOS Tether, Binance Coin, Cronos, USD Coin, ApeCoin, Binance USD, Dai, Chainlink, The Sandbox, Shiba Inu, Uniswap and Polygon.

It is possible to deposit funds locally in ARS, CLP, BRL, JPY, CAD, INR, and PEN. Any Fiat currency deposits need to be 100% wagered before they can be withdrawn.

Stake withdrawal options are adequate with the top cryptocurrencies all covered. Plenty more information about how to deposit and withdraw is covered in Stake’s series of How To guides. And like we say in all sportsbook reviews, check for any charges before making the transaction. These charges are not always down to the sportsbook and can often change at short notice.

Stake Customer Service and User Experience

We’ve found that Stake customer support is similar to what you find at the majority of the new modern betting platforms. The help section articles make up the bulk of the service, and there is also a message section allowing you to communicate with customer services if you need to.

But as is the case with a lot of the newer sites, we found that customer services could be better and you have to find the information out for yourself.

Creating an account and signing up is a smooth and seamless journey. We don’t like patting sportsbooks on the back for this, as it should be easy to do. However, we found that Stake hasn't overcomplicated it.

When you open your Stake online account, they will ask you to complete their KYC process. If you are new to registering with bookies, they have a good range of help articles to navigate you through this process.

Stake’s Best Offers

Stake is another sportsbook that has no signup offer, so it makes up for it by offering plenty of incentives for regular players. These can be found in the Bet Bonuses section of the website.

Stakes Daily Races is the headline offer. With this promotion, Stake is giving away $100,000 every 24 hours. This is open to everybody, and all you need to do is wager to play.

There is a season-long Stake bonus offer running on MLB where you can double your winnings if your selection wins and your selected player hits a performance target threshold. A similar offer is available on NBA matches. There are also money-back specials on NBA.

In the English Premier League, you can get your money back if a match you bet on finishes in a 0-0 draw. And in the Champions League, you can get paid out as a winner if your selected team scores inside the first 15 minutes of a match but fails to go on to win. We especially like that offer.

There are plenty more offers available across a wide range of sports, such as cricket, tennis and esports, including money-back offers.

Betting Features Available at Stake

Unfortunately, there is no Stake mobile app for their sportsbook. But this means their website is very smooth, slick and easy to use. This especially applies to their mobile website, where some of their best betting features are:

  • In-Play Betting: One of the first things you will find on the mobile website is the Live Events. There is a huge range of sports covered and plenty of in-play betting markets available. And best of all, they are easy to find.
  • Bet Builder: Stake calls this feature the Same game multi-bets, but the point is the same: Bet Builder allows you to make multiple bets on the same event.
  • Live streaming: As a Stake customer, you have the opportunity to enjoy live streaming multiple sporting events, allowing you to enjoy the action first-hand.

Stake supports multiple odds format options so you can switch across the following formats: decimal, fractional, American, Indonesian, Hong Kong and Malaysian.

Most Popular Sports at Stake

Stake is very focused on cricket, football, esports and American sports. And it’s these sports that make up the bulk of Stake’s Bet Bonuses.

As soon as you land on their website, you are struck by the sheer amount of coverage the Indian Premier League receives. The IPL is a huge cricket betting tournament that lasts for just under two months. If you like to bet on cricket, you will love Stake.

Also popular is football, particularly the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League. Two of Stake’s best betting promotions are based on these two competitions. The main events are also well covered by Stake, such as the UEFA Euro and FIFA World Cup tournaments.

Stake also has plenty of betting markets available for basketball betting, including the NBA and the FIBA World Cup. American football is covered with markets in the NFL and NCAA. These are supported by betting guides to help you understand everything from college football to the Super Bowl.

Baseball is another popular sport, with Stake covering MLB and also offering plenty of Japanese baseball betting markets. Other sports listed on Stake’s website include tennis, ice hockey, Formula 1, and eSports.

Stake’s Commitment to Responsible Gambling

All the newer companies entering the online gaming marketplace take responsible gambling seriously. Stake is no different.

Stake has a section dedicated to responsible gambling, which includes self-assessment, where there are a series of questions and examples that can help you determine whether you have a gambling problem. Professional help is also advised and offered through a series of easy-to-find links on the website.

Stake also offers players a handy Budget Calculator to allow them to work out what is a reasonable amount of money each month to spend on gambling. There is also the option to self-exclude if you wish or need to.

Stake implements KYC and they have robust Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing policies. All in all, Stake comes across as a sportsbook that takes its responsibilities seriously.

Final Verdict on Stake

Stake is a big player on the world stage for cryptocurrency betting sites. They take over 100,000 bets a day and are establishing themselves as a big player within the industry, using partnerships in F1, the English Premier League and the UFC, to further grow and establish their brand.

There is no Stake sign-up offer for new customers, which we did find disappointing. But we know that’s the formula a lot of new sports betting sites are following in the current era.

We found plenty of different sports covered by Stake and a great variation in the number of markets offered. There is an excellent range of existing customer offers available, and if you like cricket, you will love the amount of promotions we found on Stake for the IPL.

The betting landscape is changing. Stake is an example of the new breed of betting sites looking to attract the cryptocurrency generation. They are not for the older traditional bettors. But if you are one of the younger generations of punters, you won't be disappointed.
