Personally, I'm not very fond of horse racing, however, in the past, I've had very good experiences playing horse-racing themed slots, some of them with pretty fun bonus rounds that include horse races and things like that.

For that same reason, today I chose a video slot belonging to the company “Euro Games Technology - EGT” called “50 Horses,” which has an attractive design and is provided with 50 pay lines, and although it does not have bonus rounds with horse races or similar stuff, this slot, like other slot built under the structure of 5 x 4 reels, has the feature “stacked wilds,” a powerful one, since sometimes these stacked wilds appear simultaneously on several reels, and on some occasions, I have managed to have wilds making presence on up to 4 reels at the same time, and getting big wins because of them.

The best-paid lines are basically reserved for combinations of 5 of a kind with symbols of wild and the man and woman jockeys, however, in this slot does not seem such an impossible task to form these lines of 5 of a kind mainly due to the wild symbol activity. For the rest of lines and symbols, they are set rather low prices, but it doesn’t matter as long as cash is moving.

“50 Horses” also has a round of 5 free games where wilds seem to behave very well too, and additionally, the round can be expanded to another 5 free spins in the case of re-triggering the feature.

My first experience with this game has been totally positive since in a couple of times I have been fortunate to trigger free spins soon after having increased my bet level, sometimes achieving payouts up to 60x my total bet during these rounds; during the base game I’ve been also lucky and in this moment I remember a payout about 25x my total bet with the help of many wilds. When you’re lucky, you’re lucky.

In the past I have had the opportunity to play good and bad slots manufactured by EGT, but I think the decent performance of “50 Horses” during the base game, and the reasonable difficulty in gaining access to the free round, are good arguments that make this video slot a good candidate to be included in my list of favorite EGT slots.
