Learn how to Play the Annihilator Slot
Before you can rock the reels you’ll need to learn how to place your bets:
- Coin denominations can be set by clicking the +/- values. This will allow you to increase and decrease your bet to form your total stake
- Hitting spin will set the reels in motion
- If you get tired of spinning the reels you can use the games autoplay feature
Slot Features
As you’d expect with Play’n GO the game is pretty feature packed. You can enjoy two different Wilds, two different Scatters and three further features to increase your chances of winning which include Free Spins.
In Command Feature
This is a randomly triggered feature which can happen in the base game and can appear at any time. When triggered any Wild symbols on the current spin can expand to fill the reels. You will then be awarded with a free respin and if you don’t win they will continue to respin until a winning combination is formed.
Any subsequent Wilds that land on the reels during the respins can also become expanded and stick on the reels for the duration of the respins.
Fun Palace Feature
This feature is triggered when you land at least three Bonus Scatters on the reels. Once triggered you will be taken to Fun Palace where you must collect and pick from a variety of Clare dolls. Cash prizes await and each doll will be hiding a different prize based on your total stake. It also gives you the chance to trigger the Set the World on Fire feature.
Set the World on Fire Feature
This one is triggered when you land three Scatter symbols on the reels or if triggered through Fun Palace. You will be awarded with an initial 8 free spins.
On every free spin, Jeff Waters appears as an Extended Wild Symbol and he will move across the reels while leaving a trail of fire behind him.
If a Wild Symbol lands in the trail of fire, the entire trail will turn into Wilds. If you land a standard Scatter Symbol during free spins you will be awarded with an additional two free spins.
Summary
If you’re already a Play’n GO fan we think you are going to like this! For starters, the playlist is fantastic but the features they have added can really help you hit some decent wins. You can win up to 5000x your total bet and one of the most attractive features is the free spins.
The trail of fire that the Wild Symbols can leave can be extremely rewarding giving you the potential to fill a whole screen of wilds and hitting that maximum win! The other features can be just as rewarding with some decent multipliers appearing in the Fun Palace feature. Play’n GO fan or not, this one is definitely worth a shot.
Annihilator is the latest release from Play'n Go and has 5 reels and 10 paylines. To be honest, I had heard some talks about this game before it was released but for some reason I wasn't too keen on trying it out. I know that the game is inspired by a punk rock band but the only way I found that out was by google search and noticing the resemblances in the game design, as well as having the option of putting Playlist on the game. I'm someone who never plays with the sound on, so that doesn't really affect me, also it seems to me that Playn' Go so far have released a couple of games inspired by rock bands which isn't really my thing. Regardless, I had some money left in my account and I decided to try the game with minimum stakes to see how it goes.
Usually I'm a big fan of Play'n Go games and their designs but unfortunately this time I can't say that. The design, as per the inspiration, is quite dark and almost feels punk/gothic, which isn't something I want to see. After playing around 500 spins on it, I just didn't want to see the game anymore! Not all games need to be bright and bubbly but this seemed like too much of a dark turn.
Anyway, when it comes to features, this game is quite interesting and so is the gameplay. There's an interesting base game feature in which if you land wild symbols, they will expand and give you a respin. I remember when I first got it I was surprised as in the respin I didn't win anything, so I was respinning the feature with wilds until a winning occurred. I didn't manage to get any major wins due to this, but overall the base game seemed medium variance with frequent hits, so after the first 100 spins my balance was even up for a bit. Then there's also two bonus features, one of which I'm not a fan of. For 3 bonus symbols you get to a pick bonus where you can get cash prizes, however, if you're lucky enough with your picks, you can also get free spins bonus as your pick. This really reminds me of their Alibaba slot which has pretty much the same bonus round. I'm not too big of a fan of this bonus as I haven't yet won more than 20x bet on it.Â
The last thing which is also my favorite thing about this game is the free spins bonus. You get 8 free spins with one moving, expanding wild symbol. And if you also land a wild symbol in the "trail", then the entire trail will turn wild. The bonus has quite a lot of potential and the feature is fun, so I'm glad to see something new from Play'n Go.
Overall I have a bit of mixed feelings about this game. I like the technical aspects and the free spins bonus round is exciting, however, after several hundreds of spins only once I managed to get a big win of 72x bet. Also, as I stated before, the design and theme itself isn't my taste, so I doubt I'll be spending much time with this game further on.
