My account has been restricted while Poker Stars complete a routine security investigation. I reside in the UK, but am currently on holiday in Thailand. I logged on to Poker Stars from Thailand and within a few minutes was restricted. I imagine this is because my IP address was from Thailand and not the UK. About a week later (after several emails to customer support with no response) I got an email asking for an explanation for why my IP address wasn't a UK one. I replied that I was on holidays. I have also provided my passport and bank statements showing that I still reside in the UK. No response from support and now its been 1.5 weeks...
Any advice on how to handle this issue - I would really like to be able to play while I am on vacation. Honestly the support at Poker Stars hasn't been great. I understand that they need to check accounts, but if they are going to check they should have resources available to do so and to respond in a timely fashion.
