The Dark Joker Rizes is a 10-payline video slot running on the Yggdrasil Gaming software platform. This delightfully eerie game’s most important symbol is the Joker symbol, which gains players a Mystery Win when 3 or more of them are lined up. Players can try this slot on this page for free or pick any of the Yggdrasil Gaming casinos from the listings to play the game for real money.
In order to spin the reels, players need to adjust their bet. The coin value, ranging from 0.01 to 0.30, is regulated by pushing the “Coin Value” arrows in the lower left corner. Should players desire to bet the maximum amount, they can opt for “Max Bet”. Pushing the “Spin” button in the middle starts the game and the triangle button next to it spins the reels automatically for a number of times without interruption.
Any win in the base game activates the Jokerizer Mode. A Jokerizer spin costs 20 coins and increases the chance of winning. In this mode, only 2 Jokers are needed to obtain a Mystery Win. Players can bet 200 coins, which is a Super Bet with a Guaranteed Joker, where the middle position is always a Joker.
When players get a Mystery Win on 2 Jokers in the Jokerizer spin, they can acquire a Free Bonus Spin, with all the reels containing Jokers being sticky. As the Re-Spin contains at least 2 Jokers, the second Mystery Win is awarded.

People who played “Jokerizer” know what to expect from “The Dark Joker Rises”. Someone here from the AskGamblers forum said once “I love to punt”. Probably this is the slot which would fit the best to him, because here this is the whole game about: a massive punt against the casino. If you play this game either you have all, or you have nothing. The two slots (“Jokerizer” and “The Dark Joker Rises”) are almost identical, but while playing at “Jokerizer” I had bigger mystery wins than here.
So why is the game here a massive “punt”? This happens because absolutely all wins from the normal game are “re-played” into a “Jokerizer” mode which can bring exorbitant wins (rarely) or it may not bring anything (very often) and you will lose everything you have just won. In the normal game you pay 10 cents and about once every 20 spins (yes you read that right, once every 20 spins) you win between 20-100 coins. The “Jokerizer” mode activates automatically (if you do not press “collect”) and now you pay for a spin double the bet (20 coins). If you have the big luck to have two jokers on the reels, a “Mystery Win” is awarded. Well the whole game stays in these “Mystery Wins” which is said that can reach up to 6000 coins (60 Euro) but in reality you win about 250-400 coins each time. The slot is even more challenging: if you have the courage to pay from the sum you just won so hard a bet of 200 coins (10x minimum bet) you will automatically have a spin with a guaranteed Joker. This is too little, for too much. In my opinion it is not worth it because most of the time that “Mystery Win” is only a few hundred coins (and I played enough to have more than 15-20 Mystery Wins” in all the game).
However because the bet is only 10 cents, and the slot pays in both directions, unless you are too greedy and if you collect at the right time, you can play hundreds of spins before losing 10 Euro. The Yggdrasil slots are good or very good, but here wins are rather small.
All Mystery Wins are worth much less than playing “Jokerizer”. Not to say that I never had those surprise spins surprise randomly assigned after a Mystery Win.
