Not sure who a slot game based on the Minions - children characters - is meant to be aimed at, but I have to say I had fun playing this game and was only left disappointed when I realized the games maximum win is just 500x your bet, although that is of course just for a single spin and if you were to get anywhere close to it during the sticky wild free spins you'd certainly end up with much more than that from all the spins combined.

There's no question this is a gorgeous looking game, the transparent reels look great and the background and symbols are beautiful and colorful. The QuickSpin user interface is just the same as always but that's okay as I think it works really well, simple but effective and I like the fact the paytable, full game rules and even the play history are all available from within the same coherent menu system which I think works a little than other providers implementations.

Spinions Beach Party makes good use of sticky wilds which are one of my favourite game mechanics. During the regular game you need two wilds on screen to trigger a sticky wild re-spin, and more free re-spins are awarded as long as at least one Spinion lands on screen during each re-spin. It doesn't happen too often and when it does getting more than two re-spins is extremely rare indeed, but things are a little better in the free spins. I'm not sure if different reel strips are used but I suspect that's the case because wilds definitely seem to drop more often and they stick around for the duration of the free spins round too.

Bonus symbols appearing on just three reels instead of all five is getting more and more common now and I'm getting more and more bothered about finding out what kind of effect this has on your chances of actually catching the bonus round. Right now it doesn't bother me hugely, certainly not in this game anyway, but what does bother me is the fact it's also getting correspondingly less common to actually get any kind of pay for the scatter symbols too and that's something I really miss when so many games used to award hundreds or even thousands of times your stake for catching five scatters.

I seem to like Quickspin slots just because of their nice graphics, very cheerful and colorful slot games they have, but to be honest when it comes to their payout, I can say they are all, low variance slots, just because I don't remember I have anything decent won from this video games. Same counts for Spinions, when they launched this newly game, almost every casino I play at, was giving free spins so we players could try this games.

Spinions is a 5 reel with 25 paylines video slot as I mentioned with cartonish and very nice graphics where the minimum bet takes from .025 cents. The winnings in the base game even if it has wilds which are sticky ones, can't say it will boost your balance. The winnings are just terrible. As much I like their games and spend some money of them can't remember I have triggered anything from it. So no more Quickspin games for me, well will play them only as a free spins given, but playing with my own money I don't think I will do that in the near future.

As I said the game has wilds and the nice part is that the wilds are sticky, meaning every wild you'll trigger in the base game, you'll get 1 respin and as long the player gets wilds on the screen the respin feature will continue. This game has free spins feature called Beach Club Free Spins, so triggering Bonus symbols on the first, third and fifth reels will award the player with 10 free spins. The wilds as in base game are sticky, but even so I can't say I have triggered some extra big win.

The thing I didn't like while playing the free spins feature, the free spins cannot be retriggered. Well at least they could add that thing, so it might be possibly to trigger something decent. Nice looking video slot, but not for my taste when it comes to payout, another low variance game.

That bright yellow thingie that goes by the name Spinion, is the Wild symbol, a true blue dumb Wild symbol that doesn't pay for itself, that doesn't double any wins with it, that doesn't expand, but just substitute for other symbols as and when required. The Bonus symbol is the Scatter symbol, also another true blue dumb symbol, doing nothing more than just being present on the reels doing nothing, except for when you get 3 of them at the same time on reels 1, 3 and 5, then they suddenly become so much smarter and award you with a Beach Club Free Spins feature, that's 10 free spins with Sticky Wild Respins. Hmm, I guess those Spinions are never smart individually in the first place. They need 3 minds to become smart. 1 or 2 just won't do! Hahaha. Nope. The Beach Club Free Spins closes after each and every game played. No retriggering possible. No "can I play it one more time, please?" either. Nosirree!

Eh, what about the symbols? Oops, I almost forgot about them. The Spinion symbols pay from 8x - 5x the total bet for each 5 of them, whilst the other drinks symbols pay a flat 2.4x the total bet. A blardy low paytable right?! Just a little bit higher than that of The Wild Chase game, but probably giving out payouts of just about the same. All of these to me are simply just too lame. Makes me wonder just how many times I would play this game! A Spinions Beach Party, anyone? Not for me thanks, not unless it's a Spanions Beach Party, that's Spanish-women for short, hahaha.

The design and graphics are great here. But I wish the payouts were better when I played it. The game has some sticky wild respin mode and free spins feature. Spinions sticky wild respin mode appears when two or more spinions are present in a single spin. Spinions become sticky wild and you get respin. Respin continue until no new Spinion wilds appear.

Free spins feature is set good. When you get 3 bonus scatter symbols on the reels you get 10 free spins. During those free spins, spinion wilds are sticky for the duration of the free spins. The bad part of this feature is that you can not retrigger it.
This feature reminds me on Dead or alive where are sticky wilds. To be honest I like that feature here, but when I triggered free spins I was disappointed. The payouts are so low if I compare it to Dead or Alive. I triggered free spins twice when I played it, and my best result was only around x20 bet.

During main game I had only small winnings. I never got any win which was over x10 bet. I expected bigger payouts when sticky wilds appears on the reels during respins. I think this game could be great, but I do not like the payouts so much. Maybe I will try it again, sometimes in near future. Anyway I think it is much better than some other games from Quickspin; and since i like sticky wilds I will rate it with 8 out of 10 possible stars, here at Askgamblers.

Spinions makes me think of minions. Looking at the intro screen photo with all the Spinions on the beach drinking champagne is an exact image of how it replicates to the minions in Despicable me 2 when they are all chilling on the beach. In fact the Spinions look just like the minions.

The bad - The base game will not generate you any decent winnings by itself, you need to get a few wilds on the reels in order to generate some decent winnings in 1 spin. Besides the fact that the base game has a poor payout you will notice that the winning are not that frequent either. Mostly out of 10 spins you will win 4 spins on average with poor payout. If you do get 2 wilds in the base game, then a re-spin is rewarded, if more wilds appear on the reels another re-spin is rewarded. Stick wilds re-spins, sound familiar? Yes it does, who haven't played stickers from Netent. Also note that the re-spin feature does not get triggered often either. Still sound like a great slot? Well for me it didn't until I entered free spins round.

The good - When landing 3 bonus icons on reels 1, 3 and 5 the bonus rounds begin. You will be rewarded with 10 free spins with sticky wilds feature. During free spins any wild that appear on the reels will stick and stay in place until the free spins feature is completed. Now that is worth the wait even going through the bad first. I mean on $0.10 bet I managed to win $16 which is x160 my bet, with sticky wilds only on the first 3 reels. Imagine how big the winnings could have been if I had at least one 5 of a kind wilds on a payline with some free spins left? My guess is a very big win.

I like the theme and bright colours and graphics look cool too. This is a game where you need to judge for yourself whether this is for you or not. I liked this game and would play it again. I think it has great potential besides the bad. I would rate it a 6/10.
