But, this game has absolutely nothing to do with softball, but it does follow the same basic rule, that is, to run in a circle, but I'll explain all that soon enough.

A fairly new game from Quickspin, not Quickfire, but the game lacks anything amazing or astounding in terms of graphics, presentation or animations. My first impression was just a "hmm", nothing more. Symbols in the game are the usual fruits, Bell, Star, 7, and a Diamond, just like in any other 'fruit machine' game. A Golden Wild is the Wild symbol, as if you cannot guess, but this Golden Wild is exactly as dumb as another Golden Wild in another game! Which game? The pretty lady giving out very small fortunes game. The Wild doesn't pay, doesn't double any wins, doesn't expand or move, it just doesn't do anything, except to substitute for all other symbols. A Diamond is the highest paying symbol at 100x the total bet for 5 of them, the 7 pays 20x, Star pays 15x, Bell pays 10x, Watermelon pays 4x, Grapes and Plum pays 3x, and lastly, Cherries paying only 2.4x, all in total bet wins. Very low paytable indeed, considering that the Wilds don't pay and there aren't any Scatters to add additional wins either. Playing with just 10 paylines, you can imagine the sort of payouts this game Second Strike can give. Strike 3 and you're definitely out of the game! Hahaha.

Playing Second Strike is like watching a softball game. With every hit, the player runs the circle to complete a round. In this game, with every win, a lighted marker runs around the outer wheel of the play area. Symbols from the winning line or lines are highlighted in the outer wheel, all at their predetermined locations, and if the lighted marker stops on any one of the highlighted symbol, a Second Strike feature game is awarded. Depending on the number of symbols in the initiating win, 6, 8 or 10 same extra symbols would be randomly distributed onto the reels, adding on to the existing initial winning symbols, thereby creating more new wins. Confused? If confused, I cannot explain it any simpler, so you need to play the game to understand it better.

Well, it was quite good for me in the early stages of the first game that I played it, giving me several Second Strike features, some making wins, others just missing to stop on any of the highlighted symbols, so no wins for that. I had a few 5-of-a-kinds, some good hits with the 7s and Bells too, but only hit 3 of the Diamonds so far. Big Wins and Super Mega Wins, yes, but they aren't really that big, I can say that to you!

Playing this Second Strike game can be fun and entertaining, with some exciting moments too. There will be some "ooh"s, some "aah"s and some "whaaat the argh!"s even, but as long as you are saying those words, then you are enjoying the game! If you are just glaring, and staring, and snaring at the no wins on the screen, then ooh boy, it's "strike 3" for you! Hehehe.

Second Strike is a game from Quickspin software and the first time I tried it was last month with a couple of free spins, offered by Casino Heroes. I didn't manage to win anything, yet the game intrigued me and I wanted to see how the "Secon Strike" thing worked. The next time I played this game I had about 20€ balance and I had a plentiful session, since the minimum bet was only 10 cents.

This slot has 5 reels and 10 paylines, so you can place as little bets as 0.10€ per spin. In some ways this game reminds me of Twin Spin and Starburst slots, simply because the symbols used in both these games can be seen in Strike Again- cherries, bells, diamonds etc. And another similarity is the fact that none of these games have a bonus round, but as far as the game gives good winnings, I don't really mind that. I really liked the design because it was really simple but looked sophisticated.

But other than the looks the game was quite a disappointment. The Strike again feature itself is interesting, as it appears anytime you get 3oak or more winnings, however, just because it appears it doesn't mean you will get it. So when you get for example 3oak win, the symbols that gave you that win are enlightened in a wheel that goes around the screen, if it stops on your symbol, you will get the feature which adds the same symbols to your winning combination. This is something interesting and unseen, but from my experience the feature doesn't come up too often, also because the slot has 10 paylines and sometimes it is hard to score a regular, small win.

But the payouts were my big disappointment. I had many times when most part of the screen was filled with the same symbols, but the biggest win I had overall was 25x bet size. The thing about this feature is the more same symbols you have when you win, the more symbols will be added if you get the Strike feature. But mostly I would get 6 extra symbols, maybe few times I had more, but still the payouts were absolutely small. The ultimate best win is with diamond symbols, but in my session I had only one win with diamonds and it was 3oak win that paid 10x bet, which makes me think that getting decent winnings on this slot could be very hard.

Overall I think this is an average game with nice design. After spending a session with this slot I won't be doing that again, just because I don't think this game has big winning potential and even if it does, it would be very hard to achieve that. I lost my balance on this slot with only a couple of times getting big and super big wins of 25x bet. I do think that in some cases this game could be decent option for wagering purposes, but all in all I don't recommend this game.
