Gladiator’s Gold is another slot game that has a theme dealing with the very glorious age of one of the most powerful empire that the world’s ever seen and personally I always liked this subject and not just because of I like historic games but also because most of the cases I can play with a very great looking slot that occasionally could surprise me in positive way with some very attractive pictorial elements like decorative motives and nice illustrations of some very characteristic objects which are all have strong connection with bygone era. At Gladiator’s Gold exactly these wished and hoped things are missing and I could even say they’re non-exists. The slot has very poor graphics quality and the symbols and images looks very ugly for me, the reel area got a full white background picture which really makes the screen graphically very ineffective and the used symbols (lions, helmets, swords, axes, Coliseum, head statue of Caesar, Roman chariot) are all powerless and look horrid. For me this is a fine example of how a slot game should NOT look like and I think all of things were applied to this appearance were wrongly selected and I really believe this is an all-round messed up interface.

Maybe it’s understandable but after this kind of huge disappointment, my relationship with the game took a sudden unwanted turn and unfortunately the game segment also doesn’t possesses that kind of qualities that would force me to consider this game even a playable product.

This 5-reel, 5-payline slot has minimum wager limit of $0.01 and maximum is $10 what it lets us to place as bets and because of the very few paylines the game has strongly limited features to offer. There is absolutely not any Wild, win multiplier possibility, free spins, bonus and all we can get here is most of the symbols are paying if just 2 of them appear on the first two or last two reels so from this fact it has become evident that the game is working with using the ‘both-ways-to-win’ functioning style. Because of this formula the smaller wins relatively often happens but the winning combinations don’t have too great paying ability and only one emblem can give us some kind of satisfaction if appear on the reels and when this Gladiator Helmet symbols land on the reels forming a 5 of a kind type win, our balance is increasing with 1000 times of line bet.

The game is more than simple and we can feel it in every moment and in every details which in itself wouldn’t be a big problem but when it associated with an unacceptably wrong and unattractive appearance and the limited paying ability it’ absolutely not a good situation and at least for me this really ruins the playing experience. The slot simple unable to be entertaining or joyful to play with and if I take into consideration all of these very questionable attributes I guess I can say this is a bad game and it wouldn’t be a big issue if the rights owner would decide to cancel it from among the available game list. I don’t want to be too harsh but I really think it would be the possible best thing what they could do.
