Overall, Tikal is not a particularly noteworthy sportsbook, and there are definitely some issues that bettors should be aware of if they are going to sign up. 

While the site does draw you in with a great welcome bonus, the lack of promotions for existing customers is not going to keep you engaged, and the wagering limits on withdrawals and other fees, such as the dormant account fee, are major drawbacks. 

On the plus side, if you are a fan of prediction markets and want a bookie that is easy to use, then it does tick those boxes. Keep reading this Tikal review to find out my thoughts on everything else the site offers. 

General Information and Safety Details About Tikal 

Tikal is a new online sports betting site that has been active since 2025. It is owned and operated by 3-102-937015 Limitada, which is a fairly unknown company that is registered in Costa Rica. 

It is licensed and regulated by the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros. While this is a well-known license, it is not as well-respected as some other licenses like the UKGC or MGA, and it does mean that there are geographical restrictions in a lot of markets. 

Tikal Payments and Withdrawals 

I found the payment options at Tikal to be slightly lacking. The site allows you to deposit using a small selection of methods, including Visa/Mastercard, Google and Apple Pay, MiFinity, and a handful of other options. 

Unfortunately, the lack of popular e-wallets like Neteller and Skrill, and no crypto options, does let the site down. 

I deposited €10 using my card, with the funds appearing in my account instantly. The minimum withdrawal is €20, and the site has a minimum 1x wagering requirement for all deposits, which can be frustrating. 

Alternatively, there is a €10 fee. These kinds of limits can be frustrating, especially if you have lost bets and want to withdraw your remaining funds.

Tikal’s Best Offers

The Tikal sign-up offer is one of my favourite types of welcome bonus - a risk-free bet. It allows you to place your first bet at odds of 1.50 with a stake of up to €100, and if it loses, you will receive your stake back as a free bet. 

Unfortunately, outside of this, the site has no sportsbook promotions available for existing customers.

Betting Features Available at Tikal

I was satisfied with the selection of betting features available at Tikal, with the Bet Builder feature being particularly useful. 

• In-play betting: You can access all of the in-play betting options at Tikal by clicking on the ‘live’ tab at the top of the sportsbook. I found the site to offer a solid range of live events, with the odds updating instantly and being competitive when compared with other live sports betting sites. 
• Live streaming: Unfortunately, there are very few live streams available at Tikal. During this Tikal review, the only live streams I encountered were for esports. 
• Price boosts: Tikal runs regular price boosts on selected events. In my experience, these were for more popular sports like football. 
• Bet Builder: My favourite feature at Tikal is the Bet Builder. This allowed me to build my own bets using different markets. It was available for upcoming football matches, with a great range of markets to choose from. 

Most Popular Sports at Tikal

Football was by far the most popular sport to bet on at Tikal, with over 800 markets available at the time of this Tikal sportsbook review. Outside of this, the site covers most popular sports, including tennis, basketball, and baseball, all of which had over 300 markets to choose from. 

Like most new sports betting sites, there is a strong emphasis on esports, with over 200 markets available in the dedicated Esports Hub. 

One big selling point for Tikal is that it does offer prediction markets. I was impressed with the selection of political and current affairs prediction markets, as well as entertainment markets on upcoming movies and TV shows. 

As a Marvel fan, I was pleased to find a number of MCU-related prediction markets to trade on, with some good prices available. 

Tikal Customer Service and User Experience

Tikal offers everything you would expect from a modern sportsbook. I found opening a Tikal account to be an easy process, with the site not requiring verification during registration. It did, however, require me to validate my account and verify my identity when making my first withdrawal attempt. 

The site has 24/7 customer support, which I found to be extremely pleasant and helpful. The agent provided me with assistance regarding a bet and was quick and professional with their responses. 

One caveat about the site is that it does have a dormant account fee. If your account is inactive for six months, you will be charged €5. You can only be charged this if there are funds in your account, so if you do not intend on using the site for a long-time, either close your account or make sure there are no funds left in it. 

Tikal’s Commitment to Responsible Gambling

Tikal offers very rudimentary responsible gambling support. The site lists a selection of resources to third-party support groups, and features some basic information about protecting minors from gambling. 

There is the option to self-exclude, but you will need to reach out to the customer support team for more information.
