Overall, I had a mixed experience at Koalabet. While I was a big fan of the event builder and found the selection of sports and odds on the site to be competitive, I was disappointed with several elements of the customer experience.

The site had limited deposit methods available in my region for fiat users, and there were no promotions available to me outside of a weekly cashback offer. In this Koalabet review, I will take a closer look at different aspects of the site, and you can determine whether the site is going to be for you. 

General Information and Safety Details About Koalabet 

Koalabet has been on the market since 2023, and is owned and operated by Koala Global Ltd. It holds a license from the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan. While this does add some legitimacy to the site, I would recommend approaching it with caution, with the license not offering the levels of support punters would find from someone like the UKGC. 

As well as being a sportsbook, the operator also provides online casino options, with customers easily able to switch between the two verticals. 

Koalabet Payments and Withdrawals 

I had a mixed experience with the Koalabet payment options. On one hand, it is always good to see a crypto-focused site offer fiat payment options. On the other hand, though, those options are fairly limited and location-dependent. For me, I could only deposit using Apple Pay and Google Pay. 

It is also worth noting that the site converts everything from USD. So for customers betting with USD, the minimum deposit is $10, whereas for Euro customers, like myself, it is €11. I deposited using Apple Pay and found the process to be smooth. 

Before you withdraw from the site, you will need to have verified your account, which is always a good sign from a safety and money-laundering perspective. The minimum withdrawal is $15. 

If you are a crypto bettor, you will find a range of currencies supported on the site, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and more.

Koalabet’s Best Offers

The Koalabet promotion section is fairly limited, especially for sports bettors. I was not offered a Koalabet sign-up offer when I registered, and the only existing promotion available to me was a weekly cashback offer. 

Betting Features Available at Koalabet

While I was not blown away by the Koalabet sports betting features, there are enough options here to keep bettors engaged. 

• In-play betting: The in-play betting section at Koalabet was, in my experience, one of the site’s biggest selling points. It has an intuitive interface, and I found the odds to be competitive and quick to update. It is also great to use on mobile devices, which is how I would recommend using it if you want to get the best experience. 
• Live streaming: Like most crypto-sites, Koalabet is limited with its live-streams, with most live-streams being for esports events. 
• Event Builder: I found the Koalabet bet builder feature to be extremely useful. It is labelled as ‘Event Builder’ in the sportsbook and allows you to build bets for a range of sports. I tested for a World Cup match, building a 16/1 bet. While this doesn’t come in, it did make the game much more entertaining. 

Most Popular Sports at Koalabet

As with almost every sportsbook out there, football is the most dominant sport at Koalabet. I was impressed with the number of markets available, with pre-season future markets dominating during the time I was writing this Koalabet review. It offered competitive odds on the Premier League and other top European competitions, as well as on the EFL and non-league in England. 

Outside of football, esports is the most popular sport at Koalabet, with the site providing extensive coverage of popular games like Valorant, League of Legends, and more. 

Alongside this, the site covers around 35 sports, with tennis, basketball, and baseball being among the most popular. 

Koalabet Customer Service and User Experience

I found the registration process at Koalabet to be a straightforward experience. The site asked me to provide an email and password, and then prompted me to enter some basic details to complete the process. It also allows you to sign up directly with your Google account, which is something I am always pleased to see, as it offers an extra level of convenience for customers. 

Once I had signed up, I was required to verify my email address and phone number if I wanted to gain access to the site’s full services. 

I tested the customer support on the site via its live-chat feature and found the team to be responsive and knowledgeable. There is also a handy FAQ page which provides most of the information you need. However, I would have liked to have seen more information about deposit and withdrawal limits. 

Koalabet has also clearly been built with mobile bettors in mind, with the mobile site being supported on Android and iOS. However, there is no Koalabet app available. 

Koalabet’s Commitment to Responsible Gambling

I was not particularly impressed with the Koalabet's responsible gambling support. The site offers some very basic information about who to contact if you have any issues with your gambling, and offers simple tips for what you can do to stay in control. This is an area I would definitely like to see the site improve.
