I deposited €100, rolled over the bonus, won over €900 in total, and still ended up with just €100
I made a €100 deposit to 20bet to claim their 100% first deposit sports bonus. First of all, none of their affiliates mentioned that the maximum amount you can win from the bonus is €100. First sign of a scam.
I then rolled over the bonus while following all the rules. The biggest surprise came after completion: I ended up with over €900 in my account, but the balance showed only €100—not even the supposed maximum €100 win was included. I asked support about it, and they replied:
“Please be informed that you have already used the deposit for bets, and now you receive winnings from the bonus wager on your balance.”
So I deposited €100, rolled over the bonus, won over €900 in total, and still ended up with just €100? That doesn’t sound legit to me.
Dear all,
As apparent from the submitter's latest post, the AskGamblers Complaint Team is pleased to announce the case has been resolved and closed.
We thank both parties for their assistance during the complaint process.
We apologize for the confusion. Here is the link to our official bonus rules, where everything is clearly described: https://20bet.com/promotions/first-deposit-sport?bonusType=sport
In this particular case, there was a technical bug. The player should have received €200 on the balance instead of €100. Our support team will get in touch with the player directly to return the missing €100.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your understanding.
I would also like to hear your opinion on the fairness of your campaign. You widely promote a 100% up to €100 bonus, which in reputable bookmakers means the player actually gets €200 to play with and can keep the winnings after completing the turnover.
However, in your promotion there is a small-print clause: “Once wagered, the remaining bonus funds are transferred to the customer’s Main Account, not exceeding the bonus amount.” This condition means that players cannot actually win anything from the bonus. At best, they can only get their initial deposit back if they first lose their real money and then successfully complete the turnover with the bonus.
To make matters worse, the Finnish translation of this clause is incorrect, AI-translated and misleading. This creates the impression of a legitimate deposit bonus, while in practice the campaign functions more like a risk-free bet with no possibility of profit.
