Editor’s View

Overall, I can say I liked what theScore Bet had to offer. It is every bit the modern sports betting experience I would expect from a fully licensed operator in Ontario and Alberta. The site boasts a solid range of sports to bet on, with an emphasis on popular North American markets like ice hockey and basketball.

I also enjoyed the live sports betting experience, particularly on theScore Bet mobile app. I break all of this down, as well as some of the site’s drawbacks, in this theScore Bet review.

General Information and Safety Details About theScore Bet

theScore Bet is a well-respected online sportsbook and casino that is available in Ontario and Alberta in Canada.

It is licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, which ensures it is up to speed with the latest industry regulations. This is a well-respected operator, and it ensures customers are going to be well-protected when betting on the site.

theScore Bet Payments and Withdrawals

I found making a deposit and withdrawal at theScore Bet to be a smooth experience. The site is fairly limited when it comes to banking options, with Visa/Mastercard, Bank Transfer, PayPal, and eCheck being the only available options. The minimum deposit is $10, making the site a budget-friendly option for most Canadian bettors.

The minimum withdrawal also sits at $10, with the operator having a $10,000 daily maximum. Withdrawals can take up to three days. However, I made a withdrawal request using PayPal and my funds appeared within two hours.

theScore Bet’s Best Offers

The theScore Bet sign-up offer provides a $100 bonus bet for customers who deposit $10 if their first bet wins. Aside from this, the site runs regular promotions for existing customers, including a parlay club bonus which gives a weekly $10 bonus bet, and a refer a friend offer that gives bettors a $25 reward when their friend signs up.

Betting Features Available at theScore Bet

There is a solid, though not spectacular, selection of sports betting features punters can take advantage of at theScore Bet.

  • In-play betting: theScore Bet is clearly an operator that was created with live betting in mind. The live betting interface is really nicely laid out on theScore Bet mobile app and site, with the odds updating instantly, ensuring you don’t miss a second of the action.
  • Live streaming: The live betting experience is also bolstered by a dependable live-streaming service. During this theScore Bet review process, I placed a handful of live bets on tennis matches and was able to tune into live streams to watch the events unfold. Live streams are available throughout the day for various events, with the operator having a dedicated section for upcoming streams.
  • Bet boosts: The site runs regular price boosts, with basketball and baseball boosts both being offered to me during this theScore Bet sportsbook review.
  • Insurance: theScore Bet also runs insurance-style bonuses where punters can get their cash back depending on how their selection does. For example, I received cashback as a bonus bet when my selection for a golf bet finished third.

Most Popular Sports at theScore Bet

As I mentioned in the introduction to this theScore Bet review, the operator puts an emphasis on popular North American sports. Football still had the most markets, with over 600 available, but it lacked the usual depth of leagues you would find at other top sports betting sites.

Much of the focus here is on basketball, baseball, ice hockey, and the NFL. The odds for all of these sports were extremely competitive, with each of them having daily price boosts and also ‘bet of the day’ style promotions. There was also a lot more depth in the live coverage, with useful stats and commentary provided.

Outside of these, the site has a fairly solid selection of sports to bet on, including a growing esports catalogue that covers popular games like League of Legends and Counter-Strike 2.

theScore Bet Customer Service and User Experience

theScore Bet is clearly a site that was designed for mobile bettors, with the desktop site feeling fairly limited when compared to its mobile counterpart. To get the most out of the experience, I recommend downloading theScore Bet app, available for free on iOS and Android.

I downloaded the app for my iPhone and iPad for this review, and found the experience, especially for live-betting, to be much superior to the desktop site, which feels clunky by comparison.

The operator provides 24/7 customer support, with the live-chat team being extremely helpful. Customers should note that there are a lot of geographical restrictions on the site, with it only being accessible to residents of Ontario or Alberta in Canada, and a range of states across the US.

theScore Bet’s Commitment to Responsible Gambling

I found the range of responsible gambling resources at theScore Bet to be very comprehensive. It provides third-party support across all states and provinces where it is available, as well as giving customers the chance to set deposit, play, and loss limits on their theScore Bet account. Customers can also reach out to [email protected] for further assistance.
