Little Red Riding Hood

Who does not know the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" or said differently the "Little Red Cap"? I guess there is no child on this planet that has not heard at least once a version of the story original written by the Grimm Brothers. When I started playing this slot I thought, well here is definitely a good game. Especially that from the first look I noticed that it had 4 lines instead of 3 and the graphics were very promising. Unfortunately, my "great expectations "(to paraphrase another well known story title) have not been confirmed by this game.

This review was one of the most difficult to write on paper. I want to be better understood from the beginning: the slot is nice, but the designers could have been done much more than that. Mainly the slot is nice for the story that is well transposed in the game. The background of the slot representing the grandmother's house (where you can see the bed and a window) is so well drawn and animated that it seemed to me that I hear now the story told for the first time.
The slot symbols are equally well chosen, and you are “shaking” when you see the ax with which the hunter split the wolf in two parts. The music that accompanies the story is definitely produced by some violins from an orchestra of classical music. But that is all.

Regarding the game itself surely one could have done definitely more. For a slot that has 4 lines, 40 paylines are a bit too few. Again, this is not such a big fuss but maybe, 1024 ways to win would have looked better. Similarly, it is true that the Wilds (who is afraid of the "Big Bad Wolf"?) are stacked, but if also the major symbols were stacked this would have been much better. This observation is valid especially because the game has 11 different symbols.

The same can be said about payouts. At 40 pence/bet there are enough wins of 20 pence-1 pound, but if even from time to time one could have won 5-10 pounds the player would have been happier. Playing here generally I was in lost, but the lost was never so much as to say that the slot is weak and the total wins were not enough to praise the slot.

So if you want to be a part of this story chose to play here. You will not regret but also you will never say “this is very good stuff” about it.
