Overcharge on deposits
Back on Sept 19th I posted here regarding bovada overcharges on 100 or so deposits made with my credit card totaling $500, i sent them bank statements and a spread sheet with the amount being charged vs what appeared on my Bovada account, only to continuously be told the extra amounts were either currency conversions or international fees by my bank. After hours explaining to them my bank did not do currency conversions and the only international fees occur when I am physically in the country using my card. Bovada resolved that issue and credited my 1/2 the overcharged amount.
Now the same thing has occurred, since then i tallied my deposits made via my card and all are +\- $2-10 more than the amount Bovada says I will be charged, even after their 5.9% fee. Total amount deposited was approximately $2,000 and amount overcharged was approximately $200. I confirmed with my bank they do not do currency conversions or add fees. The only explanation Bovada will give me is that it is a “dynamic currency conversion”, or they say the amount was received in a foreign currency vs USD, which is not true. My frustration is that even after multiple attempts reaching out to Bovada I get the same generic questions of have I submitted paper work, its is my financial institution etc, when I have confirmed that the exact amount posted on my bank statement is the amount requested via the merchant. At this point I am done with Bovada, it would be easier to dispute the charges, which would be easy given their 3rd party "merchant" charged me more than I was made aware of, but my hope by posting this is I can for once have a sensible conversation with someone at Bovada other than the people who are meant to tell me the same generic thing, currency conversion.
