Disabled 5400 account
I learned about Bovada after talking about prize picks with some friends. I did not necessarily like the idea of already having the stats being chosen for me so I googled sites that I could use to bet on basketball, US and international. Bovada was number 1 on multiple sites and had a high rating so I decided I would use Bovada. After signing up I decided not to use the bonus codes because of the withdrawal rules attached and I wasn't sure if I would even use Bovada long term so I wanted to always have access to withdraw my money. Turns out I ended up really liking the platform and using it to bet on random games daily. I used Bovada for about 2-3 weeks and then Bovada ask me to verify my account before making a withdrawal and I was very understanding of this. In my mind there was no rush to verify the account because NBA playoffs are still being played and I had no intentions of making a withdrawal soon. I decided to change the email I was using on my account to a more personal email that I use for other subscriptions etc. Everything worked smoothly I was sent a verification code to my phone, profile updated. The next morning I decided to try logging in to maybe catch some FIBA games and I receive a message saying my account was disabled. Immediately I tried finding a number online to speak with someone but all lines could not connect due to covid??? After realizing the only way to contact Bovada is by email I email customer service who asked for 3 documents, photo of government issued ID, a photo of myself with the ID, as well as a utility bill with my name and address displayed. I was told "thanks for submitting you documents your account is under investigation... 24-48 hours. Since this day I have been locked out of my account for over 2 weeks now with no information other than 24-48 hours. I'm confused and very upset about the account being taken without notice and I can't seem to get a hold of anyone. I really just want a phone call not even complaining about the time because I have worked customer service for a company and we were a team of 6 and things got crazy at times. But to take 5k away without a phone call when I really have done nothing wrong and provided all documents necessary for verification. I wish they would complete the verification process and security process before you deposit your money and gamble. The games should be the gamble not the site. Other than this issue I really enjoyed the platform I've read about people getting their money and account closed, I would be satisfied with receiving my money but honestly I still want to use the site, it's a great site just this portion is very difficult as I see now I am not the only one dealing with this.
