Delaying my account verification process
On 7/27/2018 Bovada suddenly disabled my account, and requested me to send support documents to verify my account. I didn't request a withdraw or did anything abnormal so I don't know why they suddenly ask for it, but it's under user terms and agreement and it's for safety reasons, so I just followed them and sent all the required documents (copy of government issued ID, copy of credit card I used for deposit, and a bovada verification form with my credit card information filled and my signature). Two days later, I got an email said I need to provide additional proof of my current living address, so I gave them my renters insurance statement. 1 day later, they replied say that doesn't count...alright I don't get it why but I sent them my utility bill, another day later, they emailed back say my name and the billing address are not on the same page of the statement... So I had to send my bank statement this time, no further request were asked, good god. Anther two days later, they asked me to resubmit the verification form since my signature didn't match the one on my ID. Oh come on, it's a e-signture I signed with my finger, plus it was 8 years ago I signed my ID, of course it's gonna be slightly different. Good thing is after I sent a new one, no further questions asked, I guess after nearly 1 week of email exchanges they can finally start reviewing my docs. Since then it has been all quiet, Bovada claims it takes 24-48 hours to verify the information. On 8/5/2018, 3 days after I sent complete docs, I contacted their online chat service, they gave me the typical high volume and be patient excuse. Few days later, still no confirmation so I called them, was told it's being reviewed. To this date 8/12/2018, 17 days passed, I still don't get any official update on my account status. Today I can't hold back anymore, called bovada asked to speak to a supervisor, she told me my documents are not reviewed yet...I was like wtf, bovada says 2 days while I waited more than a week and it's not even touched? Are you serious? She can't give me a reason, keep telling me be patient and wait, also suggest me to resubmit verification form, this time print it out and sign, not e-signature, I don't get it why but I just desperately want to get this done, so I do what she said. Just now, She emailed me asking to send a copy of my bank statement for my credit card, as the statement I sent in before didn't have any reference to the card. She also request another copy of my signature that needs to mimic the signature on my card.. This is getting more and more ridiculous, I just have to file my complains here. Currently I only have several hundreds on my account, I don't think Bovada is a scam company, but there are some weird stuff going on, hope they are not just trying to delay this process on purpose.
