Charging Extra Fees on Deposits
I have made multiple attempts
to resolve directly with Bovada. I’ve made several $100 deposits via credit card. Each time I’ve agreed to the 5.9% fee, but have been charged a larger fee. For example, I’ve authorized a charge for $105.90 ($100 + 5.9% fee) and they hit my card for $111 or $112. They’ve blamed my CC provider and then the currency conversion rates. Neither is true. I have a zero fee credit card for international charges and the currency conversion fee could only be valid if they admit it is an undisclosed fee they charge which they don’t. Also BS, as currency exchange rates on credit purchases are not lagged between time of purchase and posting. Buyer beware! This doesn’t appear to be a unique complaint either.
